By CCN Markets: Crypto fever is spreading to the UFC Octagon. MMA fighter Ben Askren is anxiously awaiting the bitcoin price crossing $10,000. He joined the Crypto Twitter chorus, saying “10k here we come” alongside the image of a rocket ship. Askren is as bullish as they come, predicting on June 20 that BTC would reach $10,000 as soon as today. In addition to being an undefeated welterweight, Askren could be well on his way to being 1-0 in the price prediction game, with BTC currently hovering at $9,830 with no signs of slowing down.
10k here we come! 🚀

Ben Askren a Litecoin Ambassador
Askren is already known for shilling Litecoin, which is known as digital silver to bitcoin’s gold. The Litecoin Foundation, which counts the UFC among its partners, sponsored Ben Askren for UFC 235. The MMA fighter recently revealed that while he’s “more invested in LTC…everyone loves bitcoin.”

In fact, he has been tweeting about bitcoin in response to the likes of Galaxy Digital’s Michael Novogratz since 2017. Meanwhile, about a month ago, he noted: “BTC and LTC on a today!!! Future of your money isn’t in a bank.”
Apparently, Askren will be featured in an upcoming episode of Anthony Pompliano’s podcast where he is teasing another Litecoin development:
“Big LTC announcement coming soon I am hearing.”
John Kim, Litecoin Foundation’s chief evangelist, announced that “Jim Falk Lexus of Beverly Hills will be accepting Litecoin as payment for their cars,” tagging Askren in the tweet.
The fighter’s social media followers are a mix of MMA fans and crypto Twitter, and Askren is just as tough on them as he will be on his opponent Jorge Masvidal at UFC 239 on July 6.
If you are one of these idiots on my feed commenting that Bitcoin has no utility you need to stop thinking you are so smart and do more research.

While some of his followers thanked him for helping them to “make some money with Litecoin,” others are less convinced, saying:
“I’ve seen the TED Talks, you can buy drugs with them.”
