The holiday season is finally here, and that means that Black Friday is just hours away. You’d be hard-pressed to find a retailer not offering massive discounts – and some will be so irresistible that shoppers still digesting Thanksgiving dinner will die trying to get them .
Gaming companies like Microsoft are no exception, and they’ve unveiled deals on everything from Game Pass to Xbox One consoles.
Despite the avalanche of spectacular Black Friday gaming deals, it seems like Game Pass really offers the most bang for your buck. When you compare the cost of the service with all of the games that you get with it, the astronomical savings simply can’t be beat.
And just to sweeten the pie, Xbox is also offering a Black Friday deal for Game Pass .
If you’re a new subscriber, you can join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and pay just $1 for three months. That’s a ridiculous 93% discount off the normal price of $15 per month.
Still, even at full price, gaining access to over 200 games for just $15 per month is no joke. Not even Black Friday sales on digital game stores can match what Xbox’s subscription service offers.
Take Rage 2. On Steam, the game is discounted by 67%, making it just $19.79 . That’s more expensive than a month of Game Pass Ultimate, which would give you access to the game on Xbox & PC along with hundreds of other titles.
Gears 5 is another blockbuster title on sale for Black Friday . The 50% discount drops its price to only $29.99, but that’s still double the cost to play it on Xbox and PC for a whole month.
Even The Outer Worlds is better on Game Pass. Reduced to $44.99 at the Epic Store , it’s still a much more impressive value through Xbox’s subscription service.
It just goes to show that even amid a season of great holiday deals, Game Pass is still worth every cent of the cost of entry.
