Bluepoint Games can’t help but put out cryptic Tweets to try and keep gamers guessing about its next project. The newest tease from the developer seems to point to a Demon’s Souls remake.
There are a few things that make it apparent that the Bluepoint Games Tweet is connected to Demon’s Souls.
First off, the company’s Tweet says “Stay Hungry #ResetEra”. The image also has a black screen with the word “Title” on it.
Late yesterday a new thread popped up on ResetEra discussing a possible Demon’s Souls remake. To be more specific, the original poster suggests that whoever is remaking the game should rename it to just “Demon Souls”.
With the title of the game being the main point of the thread, and Bluepoint Games directly including the ResetEra hashtag, it’s easy to see the two are connected.
Going even further than that, the new image also contains some other hints at Bluepoint Games working on a Demon’s Souls remake.
Tucked away in the corner of the image is a blue head of cabbage. It appears incredibly similar to the Soldier’s Lotus , which is a healing item in Demon’s Souls that cures bleeding.
This next point might be a bit of a stretch, but it’s still worth mentioning.
Sitting next to the lotus are the words “Fast Loading.” This could be pointing to a couple of different things.
Demon’s Souls has incredibly slow load times . It’s possible that this message may be a sign that a Bluepoint Games remake of the title will reduce these load times.
There’s also another possibility. It could be that Bluepoint Games is hinting at when a Demon’s Souls remake could come out.
Instead of thinking that “Fast Loading” is a callback to the slow load times of the original, it could be a reference to the future. More specifically, the PlayStation 5.
Sony has made it clear that the PS5 is going to be sporting much faster load times thanks to the system using an SSD. That could mean that Bluepoint Games is aiming to release the Demon’s Souls remake on the company’s upcoming gaming system.
No matter what happens, expect Bluepoint Games to keep teasing Demon’s Souls’ fans until an official announcement finally comes out.
