As they make their rounds, Glass and Poichuk are interviewing consumers, merchants, entrepreneurs, technologists, legislators and investors in search of an answer to one central question: “How does Bitcoin impact your life now, and how can it change how you consume and engage in transactions in the future?”
Speaking on his motivation behind this project, Glass said:
We’ve come on this journey to not only promote Bitcoin, but to also gain a true sense of where things are really at. In our experience, Bitcoin use is still in its very early stages. We want to educate viewers as we educate ourselves by becoming completely immersed in the world of Bitcoin.
And speaking on the significance of Bitcoin’s future, he added:
Through our own trip experiences and interviews, we’re finding that Bitcoin has a huge potential to make an impact on how we as humans interact economically. Whether it’s earning, spending or even donating money, we want to illuminate how revolutionary a currency like Bitcoin can be.
Currently, Bitcoin tipping and donating are two major use cases for the cryptocurrency, and the two-man team are clear examples of this. The duo is giving back by making Bitcoin donations to local charities in the cities they are visiting. Additionally, they are educating and providing guidance to local organization administrators to help set them up to accept donations in Bitcoin.
Glass and Poichuk’s journey began in Toronto, Canada, on November 22, 2014 and will continue throughout the holiday season. You can follow the duo’s journey on the official theBITmovie YouTube Channel .
