Key Takeaways
  • Donald Trump’s donated crypto portfolio has fallen below $800,000 after reaching an All-time high of over $12 million.
  • Donald Trump backed WLFI’s native token, which was launched on September 1, and is currently trading at $0.13.
  • The President’s crypto holdings have declined faster than the market downfall.

Donald Trump’s crypto portfolio, particularly the donated portion, has now reached an all-time low, dropping below $800,000 for the first time.

At the same time, WLFI token profits have also declined sharply as the DeFi project’s native token suffers due to market-wide collapse.

The WLFI market debut in September briefly added $5 billion to its holdings, but more than half of that value was wiped out within the first week of trading.

After initial gains right after taking office in January this year, most of Trump’s crypto bets are bleeding heavily.

WLFI Token Trades at $0.133

WLFI token was trading at $0.1 on Dec. 17, after hitting a new all-time high of $0.336 within its first week of launch.

The sharp drop halved Trump’s WLFI portfolio, which had been valued at over $6 billion at the time of launch.

At its current price, Trump’s WLFI holdings are valued at $1.45 billion, down from $2.5 billion at the end of September.

World Liberty Financial released 20% of its token supply on Sept. 1, making WLFI tradable on major centralized exchanges.

Trump’s firm, DT Marks DEFI LLC, was allocated 22.5 billion tokens, while financial disclosures show Donald Trump personally holding 15.75 billion WLFI—equal to 15.75% of the total supply.

Based on recent pricing, his stake alone was worth an estimated $6.6 billion before the dump, a figure that has since dropped by 60%.

The Trump family’s overall equity in World Liberty Financial has also shifted significantly: from about 75% ownership at the end of 2024 to roughly 40% by mid-2025.

Trump’s Crypto Portfolio Depreciates

Donald Trump’s crypto holdings are divided into two categories: donated assets, including memecoins, stablecoins, and his own crypto projects, which are either launched by him or backed by him, such as the official TRUMP memecoin and the WLFI project.

Trump’s donated crypto portfolio mainly comprises memecoins donated by users over the years. The memecoins, a category that has lost steam recently, have caused a significant dent in Trump’s portfolio, which plummeted from a high of $15 million in 2024 to just over $761,000 at the time of writing.

His largest single holding, TROG, rose by over 12% in the past week and is now worth approximately $317,000.

Most memecoins in Trump’s portfolio have failed to latch on to the bullish momentum, keeping Trump’s crypto portfolio in the red.

Memecoins Account for 70% of Trump’s Crypto Portfolio

The former President’s crypto portfolio comprises diverse digital assets, including ETH, Ripple (XRP), USD Coin (USDC), and several memecoins.

According to an Oct. 15 PAC filing, memecoins accounted for over 70% of all donations to the Trump campaign.

Between July 1 and Sept. 30, 2024, Trump’s campaign raised $7.85 million in cryptocurrency donations.

Data from Arkham Intelligence revealed that the President-elect’s portfolio does not include Bitcoin (BTC), despite wanting to use it to pay off the national debt.
