XRP Price to $4.90? Bullish Calls Grow as Holders Can Now Borrow RLUSD Against FXRP

Key Takeaways

  • FXRP is now accepted as collateral in an isolated FXRP/RLUSD lending market on Morpho Blue.
  • The integration lets holders borrow RLUSD without selling their exposure.
  • At roughly $1.06, XRP needs a 4.6-fold move to reach $4.90.

XRP holders have gained a new way to access stablecoin liquidity without selling their exposure.

Flare announced this week that FXRP, its representation of XRP, has been approved as collateral in Sentora’s RLUSD Main vault on Ethereum.

The move gives holders access to Ripple’s dollar-backed RLUSD stablecoin through an isolated lending market on Morpho Blue.

It arrives as XRP trades near $1.06 and approaches what analyst InvestWithD describes as a critical long-term technical decision zone.

FXRP Enters Sentora’s $280 Million RLUSD Vault

According to Flare, FXRP is the first XRP-linked asset accepted as collateral in an institutionally curated lending vault on the Ethereum mainnet.

The company also described Sentora’s RLUSD Main vault as Ethereum’s largest institutionally curated RLUSD vault, with approximately $280 million deposited.

The new FXRP/RLUSD market is held on Morpho Blue, a permissionless Ethereum lending protocol.

It is isolated, meaning its collateral, debt asset, and liquidation threshold are separated from those of other markets.

Flare’s documentation says minting begins with an XRP payment on the XRPL, after which FXRP is issued on Flare.

Direct minting from XRPL to Ethereum is still under development and is expected to remove the separate bridging step.

The integration is “expanding the productive utility of XRP across on-chain credit markets,” said Jesus Rodriguez, Sentora’s co-founder and CTO-CPO.

Falling Wedge Puts $4.90 in View

The launch comes as pseudonymous analyst InvestWithD argues that XRP is nearing one of its most important technical setups in years.

On a weekly logarithmic chart shared Tuesday, the analyst placed XRP inside a multi-year falling wedge while a longer-term ascending support line remained intact.

The two boundaries are converging, leaving less room for price to fluctuate before the pattern resolves.

InvestWithD identified $1.40-$1.50 as the decisive resistance area.

A confirmed weekly close above that range would open a path toward $2, followed by $2.30, $3.66 and a long-term logarithmic target of $4.90.

However, the analyst’s bullish thesis has a clear failure point.

A loss of support between $0.88 and $0.90 would weaken the rising long-term structure and could extend XRP’s consolidation.

What Must XRP Price Do To Reach $4.90?

XRP was currently trading at around $1.06 at the time of writing.

Reaching $4.90 would require an increase of approximately 363%, or a 4.6-fold move.

At the current circulating supply of roughly 62.5 billion XRP, a $4.90 price would imply a market value of nearly $306 billion.

That is not mathematically impossible, but it would require sustained capital inflows, stronger market-wide liquidity, and considerably more demand than it currently stands.

Other Major XRP Price Forecasts

Although a bullish thesis, $4.90 still looks restrained beside some other recent XRP forecasts.

Standard Chartered’s Geoffrey Kendrick initially projected $12.50 for 2028.

More recent reports say he cut his 2026 target while raising his longer-term 2030 forecast to $28.

Crypto analyst ChartNerd has separately outlined a possible path to $27, while predictions of $50-$100 have circulated despite skepticism from former Ripple technology chief David Schwartz.

At today’s circulating supply, $28 would value XRP at about $1.75 trillion, while $100 would imply more than $6.2 trillion.

Will the FXRP-RLUSD Market Lift Price?

The announcement is directionally positive, as it broadens the asset’s utility and provides holders with a way to raise liquidity without selling.

However, its immediate price impact is likely to be limited.

XRP remained near $1.07 around the announcement, offering no evidence of a major repricing.

There are three reasons for caution.

First, the market opened with a conservative supply cap, limiting its initial scale.

Second, the current mint-and-bridge process adds cost and complexity.

Third, the vault’s $280 million in RLUSD is shared across multiple markets. It does not represent $280 million of demand for FXRP.

In some cases, borrowing can also amplify downside.

Holders may initially avoid selling their XRP, but leveraged positions can be liquidated if XRP falls sharply, triggering forced selling during periods of stress.
