Key Takeaways
  • XRP is showing early signs of recovery after months of decline, breaking out of a downtrend.
  • Reduced whale selling pressure and improved momentum suggest weakening bearish control.
  • If XRP holds above key levels, it could hit $1.60, but a break of support could invalidate the recovery.

For the first time in September 2025, XRP’s price is starting to look different.

After spending nearly seven months in a persistent downtrend, the token is now showing early signs of stabilization.

At the time of writing, XRP’s price is no longer making lower lows, and recent data suggest that selling pressure may finally be slowing.

But it’s not a full bullish reversal — at least not yet. But what’s next?

XRP Breaches Resistance

XRP’s decline hasn’t been sudden. It has been gradual, marked by consistently lower highs and fading momentum.

That’s what makes the current moment important. For the first time in nearly 32 weeks, the altcoin is on the verge of closing the month with a positive return.

Looking at the monthly chart, XRP’s price has broken out of a descending channel. This is significant, as it ends the series of lower highs that defined the downtrend.

Notably, the recent candles show reduced selling pressure, with the green one representing the April monthly candle.

While it might be too early to conclude, it seems bulls are defending the $1.34 support.

Meanwhile, XRP’s price has begun to test the former resistance line from above. Therefore, holding above $1.34 keeps recovery potential intact, while a break above $1.84 would confirm a bullish reversal.

Coin Sees Low Selling Pressure

However, traders might need to watch out.

XRP saw notable exchange inflows, driven primarily by large holders.

First, inflows surged on April 11. The majority came from the 1 million XRP cohort, indicating whales are moving significant supply onto exchanges.

At the same time, mid-sized bands (100,000–1 million XRP holders) also contributed. This reinforces the idea that larger players, not retail, are driving the flows.

However, XRP’s price reacted negatively during this period.

As inflows peaked, the price dropped toward $1.33. This suggests that coins sent to exchanges are likely being prepared for selling, adding short-term supply pressure.

Compared to that period, inflows have relatively declined.

From April 13 onward, exchange deposits reduce significantly. Amid that, XRP’s price has recovered and trended higher again. This shift implies that sell pressure is easing.

Overall, the pattern is clear. Heavy whale inflows align with price weakness, while reduced inflows support recovery.

Therefore, if large inflows remain low, XRP can continue stabilizing, or even close in on the $2 zone.

XRP Price Analysis: Higher

Meanwhile, on the daily chart, XRP’s price shows a developing recovery structure with improving momentum.

First, the XRP price has formed a rounded base after the downtrend. Lower highs are flattening, while support around $1.30 has held consistently. This signals seller exhaustion.

Following the development, the price broke above the short-term descending resistance. This is an early shift in structure, suggesting buyers are regaining control.

Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index (RSI ) has moved upwards. This reflects strengthening momentum without being overbought.

At the same time, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) has turned positive, with a bullish crossover.

Notably, XRP is now reclaiming the 0.236 Fib ($1.41). This level acts as the first key pivot.

Holding above it would confirm short-term strength.

If continuation follows, the next target sits at $1.61 (0.382 Fib). Beyond that, the mid-term move opens toward $1.92 (0.618 Fib), as marked on the chart.

However, failure to hold above $1.41 would invalidate the breakout and send XRP’s price back below the key $1.30 support.
