Key Takeaways
  • XRP commentator Pumpius outlined a conditional path to $100 before the end of 2026.
  • His scenario calls for billions of dollars to flow into spot XRP ETFs every week.
  • The funds attracted $18.04 million on Sept. 23, bringing their cumulative net inflows since launch to $1.748 billion.

XRP ETFs are attracting fresh money, but their latest figures reveal just how far they are from one commentator’s extraordinary $100 price scenario.

Spot XRP funds recorded $18.04 million in net inflows on Sept. 23, according to SoSoValue figures, lifting their cumulative net inflows since launch to $1.748 billion.

For most assets, $1.748 billion would be an impressive total.

However, commentator Pumpius’s $100 forecast is a problem.

What Would It Take for XRP to Hit $100?

Pumpius set out the forecast in April as a chain of conditions.

Alongside the ETF inflows, his scenario envisages trillions in cross-border payment volume, much broader institutional partnerships, a tokenization boom on the XRP Ledger, and a supply squeeze.

It also depends on favorable regulation and a Bitcoin-led bull market.

The latest flows are positive but have attracted less than $2 billion in total since launch, while the forecast calls for inflows measured in the billions each week.

How Many of the $100 XRP Conditions Have Happened?

There has been progress on payments and tokenization, but the published figures remain well short of the scale in Pumpius’s seven-part scenario.

Ripple says its payments service has processed more than $100 billion globally.

While that is a substantial milestone, it does not establish that banks are routing trillions through XRP as the forecast envisages.

Meanwhile, tokenization has also advanced with  $4.05 billion in represented assets on the XRP Ledger.

Ripple has also announced further institutional work, including investments in tokenization infrastructure.

However, the Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act on Sept. 15, even as Ripple says XRP’s existing legal position remains unchanged.

Bitcoin has also rallied to an eight-month high above $85,000, but it has not reached the new all-time highs Pumpius’s scenario calls for.

The ETF Catch

Bitwise’s XRP fund accounted for $11.54 million of the Sept. 23 inflows, while Franklin Templeton’s fund added $6.50 million, according to the reported SoSoValue data.

Together, the funds held approximately $1.65 billion in net assets.

The latest total gives investors a way to test one of the forecast’s central claims. To meet its ETF condition, inflows would have to accelerate dramatically and stay there.

The price target poses a second hurdle.

With roughly 68 billion XRP in circulation, a $100 price would imply a circulating market value of about $6.8 trillion.

Reaching it by December would require far, far more than a single good day for ETFs.

How Far Are XRP Bulls Willing to Go?

Pumpius is far from alone in expecting a dramatic rise, as extreme price targets continue to circulate on social media.

In an August post, analyst Crypto Patel argued that XRP could reach $10 to $20, citing previous rallies and the token’s potential use in payments.

From around $1.50, the upper end of that range would require a rise of more than 1,200%.

A newer forecast from Ash Crypto puts XRP at $10 during what he expects to be a “major crypto bull run.”

Meanwhile, CryptoBull has put October 2026 on his far bigger $27 prediction.

The targets climb further when the timeline becomes less defined.

EGRAG Crypto has floated $50 XRP through a comparison with an earlier market cycle, with September’s monthly close serving as the next test of its chart pattern.

Even $100 is not the ceiling of the current debate. Software engineer Vincent Van Code shared an AI-generated scenario reaching $500 or more by 2035, while EasyA co-founder Dom Kwok has revived the discussion of $1,000 XRP.
