Key Takeaways
  • Ripple and Stripe-owned Privy are bringing programmable wallets to the XRP Ledger.
  • Crypto commentator @btcbox123 has forecast $30 XRP without a firm deadline.
  • Reaching that price would require approximately 2,090% growth from $1.37.

Ripple’s partnership with Stripe-owned wallet provider Privy is opening another route for developers to build XRP Ledger payment applications, as a crypto commentator forecasts an extreme rally to $30.

The developments highlight the gap between the expanding access to blockchain services and the buying demand needed to support the extraordinary token valuations currently circulating within the community.

Ripple and Privy Bring XRPL Wallets Into Applications

Privy announced the partnership on Oct. 13.

The integration lets developers create and manage XRPL wallets through software, authorize transactions, and build services using XRP, Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, and other ledger assets.

Embedded wallets allow customers to use payment applications without directly handling their private keys.

Server-side wallets also support AI agents that hold funds and make purchases via x402 payments.

Markus Infanger, senior vice president of RippleX, said the technology could support products ranging:

“from payments and stablecoin experiences to emerging forms of agentic commerce.”

Privy co-founder and CEO Henri Stern added:

“Stablecoins are changing how money moves.”

Privy’s announcement also lists private-key and seed-phrase export, allowing users to move their wallets elsewhere.

The Stripe Connection Has Limits

Stripe identifies Privy as one of its companies, linking the partnership to a major payments business.

However, the announced agreement concerns Privy’s wallet infrastructure and does not establish XRP acceptance across Stripe checkout or automatically connect Stripe’s merchant customers to XRPL.

The commercial benefits will be seen in which applications adopt it and how frequently customers transact.

For XRP holders, a payment application built on XRPL could enable RLUSD transactions, thereby increasing network activity.

Commentator Defends $30 XRP Forecast

Separately, Japanese-language crypto commentator @btcbox123 posted a $30 XRP forecast on Oct. 12.

The post pairs the prediction with a long-term chart that compares the token’s earlier consolidation periods with subsequent rallies.

Its argument is that another extended period of price compression could precede a substantial breakout.

The commentator also acknowledged being mocked over the forecast.

One X user responded: “I think you meant 0.30!”

Another user, @XRPSwish, said: “XRP will never hit $30.”

XRP Would Need to Gain More Than 2,000%

With XRP trading around $1.38 on Oct. 14, reaching $30 would require a gain of approximately 2,074%, taking its price to nearly 22 times its current level.

Even a rally to $5 would leave XRP needing another 500% increase to reach the target.

At $10, it would still need to triple.

Using almost 63.13 billion circulating tokens, a $30 price would imply a market capitalization of roughly $1.89 trillion, assuming supply remained unchanged.

Applied to its maximum supply of 100 billion tokens, the target would produce a fully diluted valuation of $3 trillion.

Privy’s integration could make XRPL payment services easier to build and use.

Developers can also build services around RLUSD and other ledger assets — more transactions would therefore demonstrate greater network use without necessarily producing a proportionate increase in demand for XRP.
