Key Takeaways
  • Ripple Treasury is exhibiting at Sibos in Miami as SWIFT presents its own blockchain-based financial infrastructure.
  • Analyst Dark Defender has mapped a potential XRP price route through $18 toward $1,000 — and possibly five figures.
  • Jake Claver’s older $1 million forecast has also resurfaced, despite his previous $100 XRP deadline ending in failure.

XRP’s most extreme price predictions are returning as Ripple puts its expanding institutional-finance business in front of thousands of bankers at SWIFT’s flagship conference.

Ripple Treasury is attending Sibos 2026 in Miami, where more than 12,000 financial executives are expected to discuss cross-border payments and the future of banking.

The timing has given XRP bulls another potential catalyst for adoption to rally around.

Analyst Dark Defender recently mapped a long-term path toward $750 to $1,000. Meanwhile, an older forecast from Jake Claver has resurfaced, claiming XRP could reach $1 million within a decade.

However, XRP currently trades near $1.48, approximately 59% below its record high.

Ripple Arrives at SWIFT’s Biggest Event

Sibos opened in Miami on Sept. 28 and runs until Oct. 1.

The annual conference is organized by SWIFT and brings together banks, payment companies, financial-market infrastructure providers, and regulators.

According to its official event page, Ripple Treasury is exhibiting a booth and demonstrating products covering cash visibility, forecasting, and payments.

Ripple Treasury is the business created from Ripple’s acquisition of GTreasury.

Its appearance shows how Ripple is expanding beyond its original cross-border crypto-payment proposition and into the wider corporate-treasury market.

However, Ripple has not announced an XRP product or partnership with SWIFT.

Its published material focuses primarily on treasury-management software and AI.

SWIFT, meanwhile, is using Sibos to present its own evolving digital-finance infrastructure.

Its program includes sessions titled “The Swift ledger: from vision to implementation” and “How tokenized finance is moving from concept to reality.”

Dark Defender Maps XRP’s Price Route to $1,000

The renewed speculation follows a Sept. 25 chart from pseudonymous analyst Dark Defender.

The analyst identified what he described as XRP’s “largest-ever cup-and-handle pattern,” stretching across several market cycles.

His chart places $1.88 as the first important breakout level.

Beyond that, the projected levels rise dramatically:

  • $18.22
  • $74.39
  • $333.12
  • $750 to $1,000

Dark Defender said he currently sees XRP reaching between $750 and $1,000, while suggesting that five-digit valuations may eventually become possible.

The analysis uses Fibonacci extensions and a long-term chart structure rather than a defined adoption or revenue model.

It also provides no firm deadline for the highest targets.

“I see $750 – $1000 these days. This is great. Psychological readiness is here,” the X analyst wrote.

Adding: “However, they will increase their targets over time to 5 digits.”

Reaching $1,000 from $1.48 would require an increase of roughly 67,500%.

Using today’s circulating supply of approximately 62.88 billion XRP, that price would imply a market capitalization approaching $63 trillion.

Claver’s $1 Million Prediction Returns

Even Dark Defender’s forecast appears restrained beside Claver’s longer-term projection.

In a June interview with TheStreet’s Armando Pantoja, Claver said XRP could theoretically reach $1 million per token over the following decade.

His scenario depended on the tokenization of the entire economy, widespread adoption of payments conducted by autonomous AI agents.

“Ten years—I think you could see $1 million apiece per token for XRP in that timeframe,” Claver said.

At the current circulating supply, $1 million XRP would represent approximately $62.9 quadrillion in market value.

Claver also previously predicted that it would reach $100 by the end of 2025, a deadline the token missed by an enormous margin.

Previous $100 Deadline Ended in Failure

Claver’s track record also provides a warning against his recent forecasts.

Throughout 2025, he maintained that XRP’s price could reach at least $100 before the year ended.

The token instead closed the year at approximately $1.87, missing his target by roughly 98%.

Claver defended his underlying thesis, arguing that infrastructure involving banks and regulators takes longer to build than investors anticipate.

He said “timelines always get extended,” while continuing to point toward confidential partnerships and institutional adoption as potential catalysts.

Can Sibos Actually Move XRP Price?

Ripple’s presence at Sibos gives the market a new catalyst to follow, but its attendance is unlikely to create direct demand for XRP.

The company would need to announce a product or customer deployment that actually uses XRP before the conference could be treated as a measurable token catalyst.

Ripple Treasury’s current presentation emphasizes conventional treasury functions.

While these products may strengthen Ripple’s institutional footprint without requiring customers to buy XRP.

Clearing levels laid out by Dark Defender and Claver would require massive moves from Ripple and an extreme surge of demand.
