Off-chain

Transactions or data that occur outside the main blockchain network and act as solutions designed to alleviate some of the limitations of on-chain transactions, affecting scalability and high fees.

These solutions enable parties to transact or interact with each other without directly recording every detail on the blockchain. Off-chain mechanisms can include state channels, sidechains, or other layer-two solutions, aiming to enhance speed, reduce congestion, and lower transaction costs
