Faster, more affordable and smarter, these robots will tackle labor gaps and handle repetitive tasks. China and the U.S. will be at the forefront, with innovations like Deep Robotics’ Lynx robot and Figure leading the charge.

“While most humanoid robots will retain a human-like appearance, we can expect to see more ‘specialized’ designs in 2025. These may include robots with extra limbs or unique movement abilities tailored for specific tasks,” he added.

AI progress will further enhance the versatility of these robots, enabling them to work alongside humans and adapt to complex environments. The rise of collaborative robots (cobots) will become more widespread, and as production costs fall, humanoid robots will become more accessible, with China taking a leading role in mass production.
