This week, crypto influencer CyrilXBT posted on X that “GTA 6 is about to create more millionaires than crypto has ever done,” framing the game as an economic ecosystem for creators, developers, and digital entrepreneurs.
In a lengthy post outlining what he called an “advanced playbook,” the influencer encouraged followers to begin building YouTube channels, Discord communities and niche GTA-focused businesses ahead of launch.
“The person who owns the community owns the distribution,” he wrote, arguing that creators positioned before release day would be best placed to capitalize on the expected surge in demand for guides and services.
GTA 6 IS ABOUT TO CREATE MORE MILLIONAIRES THAN CRYPTO HAS EVER DONE.
Part 2. The advanced playbook.
Part 1 gave you the 7 steps to position before launch.
This is the execution layer most people will skip.
STEP 8 — Build your distribution before you need it.

The thread also suggested that developers using AI coding assistants could rapidly ship GTA-related applications and utilities ahead of competitors.
He said niche markets — such as in-game real estate tracking — could become profitable during the game’s early lifecycle.
The comments reflect a growing belief among some online creators that GTA 6 could mirror, or even exceed, the lucrative creator economies built around games like Minecraft, Fortnite and Counter-Strike.
Despite the growing excitement, there remains little evidence that Rockstar plans to incorporate real crypto systems into GTA 6 itself.
Rumors tying the franchise to crypto have circulated for years.
In 2021, gaming insider Tom Henderson claimed he had heard certain in-game missions could reward players with a Bitcoin-like digital currency rather than traditional cash.
Henderson later clarified that any such system would likely exist only inside the game world and should not be interpreted as real Bitcoin integration.
Since then, speculation has frequently resurfaced online, particularly amid the rise of “play-to-earn” gaming trends and blockchain-based economies.
I heard recently that in GTA 6, some missions will reward you in bitcoin instead of cash for completing some missions.
The stock market feature will return, with the addition of a broker for different cryptocurrencies. If GTA 6 incorporates this right, it's huge for crypto.

However, Rockstar’s past actions have led many observers to question whether the company would embrace crypto directly.
In 2022, Rockstar updated policies for fan-run Grand Theft Auto V servers, restricting the use of crypto and NFTs in roleplay communities.
Several servers experimenting with tokenized economies or NFT-linked assets subsequently had to shut down or restructure.
The move was widely viewed as a sign the publisher wanted to avoid unregulated real-money systems developing around its intellectual property.
The latest wave of speculation has coincided with mounting rumors that GTA 6 pre-orders may be approaching.
In recent days, several gaming creators claimed they received retailer communications referencing a potential promotional window tied to upcoming pre-order activity.
Screenshots circulating online appeared to suggest major retailers were preparing marketing campaigns connected to the title.
The speculation gained further momentum after Take-Two Interactive Chief Executive Strauss Zelnick made new comments on the game’s release timeline.
During the conversation, Zelnick reaffirmed the company’s previously announced Nov. 19, 2026 release target.
Leakers have additionally claimed multiple editions of the game are in planning, including premium digital and physical bundles as well as console-linked versions.
The idea that GTA 6 could support large-scale digital economies has also been amplified by prominent online personalities recently.
Streamer Adin Ross previously said he planned to launch a “pro-crypto” roleplay server tied to the game, suggesting players could potentially earn in-game income connected to real-world payouts.
“I want people to be working and having an actual life in my server,” Ross said during a livestream discussing the concept.
FaZe Clan co-founder FaZe Banks has similarly argued that freely tradable digital items could create massive secondary markets around the game, comparing the potential ecosystem to Counter-Strike, where rare cosmetic skins have sold for six-figure sums.
Meanwhile, gaming personality HipHopGamer also said GTA 6 “will produce millionaires.”
For now, however, no official evidence confirms crypto functionality inside GTA 6.
Neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two Interactive has announced blockchain integration, crypto rewards or NFT-related mechanics tied to the title.
While fan-made roleplay servers may continue experimenting with virtual economies, whether Rockstar itself embraces crypto remains uncertain.
It is extremely likely, however, that crypto will appear within the game’s main story and world as some form of satire.
The series has always built itself around satirizing contemporary culture, and the rise of crypto over the 13 years since the last iteration is a perfect ground for the writers.
Fictional stock exchanges and influencer culture are just some of the themes that have shown up in previous titles.
Not everyone is convinced Rockstar Games has any intention of integrating crypto into GTA 6, with some users arguing the viral theories are being amplified primarily for social media attention.
One X user responding to the growing speculation wrote:
“It will 99.9% have NOTHING to do with crypto. Crypto bros use it as engagement farming to get people excited.”
I have seen this post get retweeted like 50 times this week
1. GTA 6 is not getting released in 26 days, it is delayed until November
2. It will 99.9% have NOTHING to do with crypto. Crypto bros use it as engagement farming to get people excited
Rockstar is too big to risk… https://t.co/BBuClX0M51
— phed (@PhedEU) April 30, 2026
The user added that Rockstar already has a proven monetization formula through player-generated economies and online ecosystems.
“Rockstar is too big to risk with crypto,” the post said.
The user added: “They do not need to reinvent the wheel. Filter the noise and follow the money.”
Others have pointed to the success of existing user-generated content ecosystems, including Roblox and Fortnite Creative, as evidence that large-scale virtual economies can thrive without crypto infrastructure attached.
