Web3 role-playing game RuneHero and arena shooter Mighty Action Heroes (MaH) have dropped some noteworthy updates and announcements as the blockchain gaming ecosystem explodes in 2025.
It also follows news that MaH, creator and Telegram gaming portal, GOAT Gaming, raised millions in a recent capital raise backed by The Open Network (TON) and others.
One of Web3 gaming’s latest massively multiplayer online action role-playing games (MMOARPG), RuneHero, has officially launched its closed beta test.
Lasting from May 4 to May 24, 2025, players are invited to participate and compete for a $10,000 prize pool in the first-ever closed beta for the Diablo-inspired game.
Players level up and build their character as they see fit with a flexible multi-class system, meaning a player may begin as a knight with raw physical power, but then also branch out into wielding magic spells and other skills.
Built on the Immutable blockchain, RuneHero is a top-down action-oriented RPG with fast and fun battle mechanics where players raid dungeons, battle monsters, and gather NFT-based in-game assets such as characters, weapons, and armour.
It also boasts an in-game economy that features auction houses where players can trade their loot on the blockchain.
RuneHero is available for download on Windows.
Mobile-based arena shooter Mighty Action Heroes has announced its Season 10 launch, “Gold Justice,” bringing two new heroes to its chaotic mobile-based arena shooter.
In Mighty Action Heroes, players compete in frantic 20-player battle royale matches and duke it out to be the last one standing.
Launched in July 2023, Mighty Action Heroes has released a new season every one or two months, regularly adding new characters, maps, and other updates to the game.
MaH was created by Mighty Bear Games, which also created the Web3 gaming platform, GOAT Gaming. Other titles under GOAT’s ecosystem include Kitty Solitaire, Waifu Clash, and Crypto Crawler, all of which feature play-to-earn (P2E) mechanics.
MaH is playable with full Web3 functionality on the browser and Telegram versions. However, the iOS and Android versions may have varying/limited Web3 features.
Depending on the player’s region, they may or may not be able to engage with the platform’s crypto wagering/staking game features.
According to the Telegram bot, GOAT Gaming pulls a sturdy 332,959 monthly players with just several titles under its belt, and is seemingly entering into competition with the likes of Catizen to become Telegram’s go-to destination for Web3 gaming.
In February 2025, GOAT Gaming secured a multi-million-dollar capital raise backed by TON Ventures, among other backers.
