Samson Mow Predicted Musk Would ‘Go Hard’ Into Bitcoin — Now SpaceX–Tesla Talks Revive $1.33M Call

Key Takeaways
  • A potential SpaceX–Tesla merger could bring their reported 30,221 Bitcoin holdings under a single corporate group.
  • Samson Mow previously predicted both a stronger push by Musk into Bitcoin and a $1.33 million price for BTC in 2026.
  • Combining existing holdings would not, by itself, create additional demand for Bitcoin.

Elon Musk’s proposed combination of SpaceX and Tesla could unite a Bitcoin holding worth roughly $2.5 billion, adding a crypto dimension to talks spanning rockets, electric vehicles and artificial intelligence.

The prospect also provides an opportunity to revisit an unusually specific prediction from JAN3 CEO Samson Mow, detailing how Musk would deepen his involvement with Bitcoin in 2026, the same year Mow forecast a $1.33 million price.

Musk Confirms SpaceX–Tesla Merger Discussions

Speaking during SpaceX’s Oct. 20 earnings call, Musk said both companies had established committees of independent directors to evaluate a possible combination.

Because of his interests in both businesses, Musk said he could not participate in those committee discussions.

He expressed support for the idea while cautioning against assuming a deal would definitely happen.

“The special committees have not reached agreement on the terms of any transaction,” he said.

Adding: “And obviously, there’s no guarantee that they will.”

Musk said treating a merger as certain “would be overstating it.”

He added that a transaction would require support from 50% of Tesla’s outstanding shares.

How a Merger Could Combine 30,221 Bitcoin

BitcoinTreasuries lists SpaceX’s holdings at 18,712 BTC and Tesla’s at 11,509 BTC.

If brought together, the position would place the combined group sixth among public companies in the tracker’s current ranking—above Coinbase and Bullish, but below MARA Holdings.

At an illustrative price of $83,000 per coin, the holding would be worth approximately $2.51 billion.

Every $10,000 change in Bitcoin’s price would increase or reduce that valuation by roughly $302 million, assuming the number of coins remained unchanged.

The size of the position has previously put Musk’s companies under scrutiny.

As CCN reported in July, a small transfer from a SpaceX wallet prompted speculation about potential selling, although Arkham characterized the activity as an apparent test transaction.

A merger would raise questions about who determines the future of those holdings.

It is possible that a combined group could retain separate custody arrangements or bring its Bitcoin management under a common policy.

Mow Predicted Musk Would ‘Go Hard’ Into Bitcoin

The connection to Mow’s price forecast goes back to the beginning of the year.

In a Jan. 10 post outlining his predictions for 2026, the JAN3 chief included both a $1.33 million Bitcoin target and the expectation that Musk would expand his involvement with the asset.

“@elonmusk goes hard into BTC,” he wrote.

As CCN previously reported, Mow’s broader thesis rests on corporate buyers and investment funds absorbing available Bitcoin faster than new supply reaches the market. ccn.com

Speaking to Bitcoin Magazine this week, Mow again described Bitcoin treasury companies, particularly Strategy, as undervalued.

What Would $1.33 Million Bitcoin Mean?

From a starting price of $83,000, reaching $1.33 million would require a gain of approximately 1,502%, taking Bitcoin to around 16 times that level.

At Mow’s target price of 30,221 BTC, an unchanged holding would be worth approximately $40.2 billion.

It is unlikely that a potential merger between Tesla and SpaceX would aid a mega price increase required for Bitcoin to reach those heights.

A stronger demand catalyst would require a separate decision to accumulate additional BTC.

However, investment commitments or a revised treasury policy could influence whether a combined group retains its position.
