Fortnite is scheduled to go offline today as Epic Games deploys a software update, making way for a new wave of nostalgic content for players.

The long-awaited miniature Slurp Rush Reload map, along with a bunch of vaulted weapons, will be available once the game comes back online.

Server Down Schedule

Fortnite will be shutting down its servers on Tuesday, April 15, “for a short downtime” from 11AM BST.

The gaming giant said matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes prior.

Although there has been no word on how long the software update will take, previous maintenance usually lasts around two hours. All devices will be affected, including PC, mobile and consoles.

During maintenance, all players will be disconnected from their online connection.

The new update is expected to see a new Chapter 2-inspired map and changes to its Reload mode.

The new map, Slurp Rush, will feature eight iconic Chapter 2 locations condensed into a much smaller fast-paced experience.

Unlike classic Battle Royale mode, players can respawn in reload as long as one teammate remains alive on the island.
