Cliff Unlocks, ONDO Leads
As per Tokenomist data (formerly TokenUnlocks), billions of tokens will be instantly dropped into the markets via cliff unlocks between Jan. 13, 2024, and Jan. 20, 2024.
The behemoth 1.94 billion unlock from Ondo Finance (ONDO) is part of its long-awaited first release from its “Global Lock-Up.”
This amounts to $2.13 billion at today’s price of $1.10, representing just under 134% of the token’s circulating supply.
The unlock on Jan. 18 may spell a moment of volatility for the ONDO token and the market more broadly. The unlock is valued several times larger than its daily trading volumes, which may explode in a sell-off once the coins have been distributed.
Connext (CONX) is scheduled to drop 4.33 million tokens worth $82.7 million, representing 376.3% of its circulating supply. Arbitrum (ARB) will unlock 92.65 million tokens valued at roughly $62.2 million, or 2.2% of its circulating supply.
UXLINK (UX) has scheduled an unlock of 26.56 million tokens valued at $29.1 million, or 15.63% of its circulating supply. Starknet (STRK) is set to drop 26.56 million tokens worth just over $25 million onto the market.
Other notable cliff unlocks include Sei (SEI), with a 55.66 million unlock valued at approximately $19.1 million, or 1.32% of its circulating supply.
QuantixAI (QAI) will unlock 232.35k tokens worth $18.9 million, representing 4.79% of its market circulating supply.
Linear Unlocks
The following altcoins will be steadily released into the market through linear unlocks:
Up top, Worldcoin (WLD)is unlocking 37.23 million tokens worth $71.6 at today’s price of $1.92, representing 4.19% of its circulating supply.
Other major linear unlocks include Solana (SOL), which will unload 465.770 tokens worth $82.54 million at today’s price of $176.95 million, or just 0.1% of its circulating supply.
Celestia (TIA) is scheduling a linear unlock of 6.99 million tokens valued at $31.2 million, or 1.44% of its circulating supply.
Smaller unlocks include, but are not limited to, Avalanche (AVAX), which has 700,000 more tokens unlocking. The drop is valued at roughly $23 million and represents just 0.17% of its circulating supply.
Bittensor (TAO) is set to unlock 50.400 TAO worth $20.2 million (0.62% of circ. supply), and Polkadot (DOT) will release 2.81 million DOT worth $17.4 million (0.18% of circ. supply).
