A gigantic wave of token unlocks totaling over $800 million is set to hit the markets over the next seven days as December unlocks are on track to be worth double that of unlocks throughout November. Here are the details.
Upcoming Linear Token Unlocks
As per data from Tokenomist (formerly TokenUnlocks), millions worth of altcoins will be steadily released into the market through linear unlocks between Dec. 16 and Dec. 23, 2024.
The largest linear unlocks will come from Sam Altman’s Worldcoin project, which is set to drop 37.23 million WLD tokens worth approximately $108.7 million at today’s price of $2.92.
The second largest will come from Solana, which will unlock a total of 524,030 SOL worth $113.9 million at today’s value of $217.4.
Other notable linear unlocks include Celestia, which will unlock 6.99 million TIA, making up 1.54% of its circulating supply, valued at $45.4 million.
Dogecoin (DOGE) will unlock 94.47 million tokens, or 0.06% of its circulating supply, worth $37.7 million.
Avalanche has 700,000 AVAX (0.17% of its circulating supply) to be unlocked, totaling $34.2 million.
Bittensor will unlock 50,400 TAO, which represents 0.68% of its circulating supply, valued at $27.4 million.
Lastly, Polkadot will unlock 2.81 million DOT, accounting for 0.18% of its circulating supply, valued at $24.5 million.
Upcoming Cliff Unlocks
The following projects will immediately unlock tokens via cliff unlocks this week. Leading the pack, Arbitrum is set to drop 92.65 million ARB, which is valued at roughly $92.1 million at today’s price of $0.98.
It’s followed by Metars Genesis, which will unload 10 million MRS valued at $53.9 million onto the market. In addition, Space ID (ID) will be dropping 78.49 million tokens worth $39.6 million.
Other notable cliff unlocks include Apecoin, which will unlock 15.6 million APE, representing 2.16% of its circulating supply, valued at $24.1 million.
QuantixAI will unlock 232,350 QAI, or 5.16% of its circulating supply, worth $22.3 million.
Cardano is set to unlock 18.53 million ADA, accounting for 0.05% of its circulating supply, valued at $19.8 million.
