Lady Colin Campbell’s New Meghan Markle Bio Will Be a Royal Disaster

Lady Colin Campbell is a royal gossip-mongers dream come true.
Today, she revealed that she’s writing a “tell-all” book about the “rebel royals,” Prince Harry & Meghan Markle.
Campbell claims that her book will “hold nothing back” and give readers the real story about these irascible brats who sullied the good Windsor name.
Naturally, the tabloid press is frothing at the mouth at the mere thought of it.
The self-proclaimed “aristocrat” teases that she had the full cooperation of the Markle family. She even had them “stay over.”
Isn’t that charming?
Lady Colin Campbell Isn’t Defending A Noble Name
Contrary to the belief that Lady Colin Campbell is writing the Windsor equivalent of War & Peace, she’s more likely writing Grimm’s Fairy Tales.
We get it: Fleet Street doesn’t like Meghan Markle.
It’s partly because she’s American. It’s partly because she’s extroverted. And it’s more than partly because she’s half-Black.
The British press sniffs that Markle somehow “sullied” the “good” Windsor name.
But this same British press forgets the infamous “let me be your tampon” incident with Prince Charles. It turns a blind eye to the infamous toe-sucking incident with Sarah, Duchess of York. It forgets the disgraceful, overt racism of Princess Michael of Kent. And it really forgets the curious friendship between Prince Andrew and convicted sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein .
This is to say nothing of Prince William’s rumored dalliances with other women behind the future Queen’s back. And this is really to say nothing of Prince Harry’s drunken escapades and past fondness for Nazi costumes .
Lady Colin Campbell sees herself as a valiant defender of the “good Windsor name.” But the Windsors are the royal equivalent of the Kardashians — financially and socially.
Meghan Markle & Her Family Aren’t the Best Sources
Lady Colin Campbell brags that she got the cooperation of the Markles to write this “exclusive tell-all.” But that’s not saying much.
For one, the Markles are infamously fractured . Thomas Markle — Meghan’s father — is a proven liar who runs to the British tabloids for a quick buck. Meghan’s half-siblings are combative & referred to her mother, Doria Ragland, with derogatory terms.
Secondly, Campbell is not exactly a reliable royal biographer. She was rightly lambasted for her exaggerated portrayal of “The Queen Mother.” And while some of her statements in her Princess Diana biography proved factual, Diana in Private proved to be mostly salacious gossip.
And Lady Colin Campbell Is A Bit Of A Mess
The Windsors are indeed a royal mess. It’s also true that Lady Colin Campbell is a royal mess, too.
On the surface, it’s a match made in heaven. Or hell.
But if you look a little closer, it’s also a sign that this “tell-all” will be nothing but gossip and smears.

For one, Campbell has said that the #MeToo movement doesn’t let “men be men.” She’s also defended Prince Andrew’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein . She’s even said that Epstein was right in what he did and that there’s a difference between “a minor and a child.”
It sounds like this “tell-all” biography by Lady Colin Campbell will be nothing more than gossip-mongering at its finest.
