Upcoming Linear Token Unlocks
As per data from Tokenomist (formerly TokenUnlocks), hundreds of millions worth of altcoins are scheduled to be steadily dripped into the market via linear unlocks between Dec. 30, 2024, and Jan. 5, 2025.
Leading the linear unlocks is Solana (SOL), which will unload 465,770 SOL worth $88.3 million at today’s price of $189, representing 0.1% of its circulating supply.
It’s closely followed by Worldcoin, which will trickle 37.23 million WLD tokens worth approximately $77 million at today’s price of $2.07, representing 4.48% of its circulating supply.
Other notable unlocks include Celestia, with 6.99 million TIA worth around $33 million, accounting for 1.48% of its circulating supply.
Dogecoin (DOGE) is close behind, with 94.47 million tokens worth roughly $29.6 million to enter the market gradually.
Smaller unlocks include Avalanche (AVAX), which will unlock 700,000 worth some $25 million, 50,400 from Bittensor (TAO), valued at $22 million, and Polkadot (DOT), which will unlock 2.81 million worth around $18.5 million.
Upcoming Cliff Unlocks
The following tokens will be immediately unlocked via cliff unlocks this week.
The largest will come from Sui, which will unlock 64.19 million SUI worth roughly $256 million, representing 2.19% of its circulating supply.
It’s followed by Optimism (OP), which will drop 31.34 million tokens worth $55 million at today’s prices, representing 2.32% of its circulating supply.
Zeta (ZETA) will unlock 53.89 million tokens worth over $42 million, accounting for a gigantic 9.35% of its circulating supply. Kaspa (KAS) will also be unlocking a sizeable 182.23 million tokens worth just over $20 million, representing 0.72% of its circulating supply.
