Controversial “lookmaxing” influencer Clavicular has gone viral after he launched into an expletive-filled tirade against Bitcoin during a recent Kick livestream, declaring the token a “horrible investment” and “garbage” as prices pulled back from recent highs.
The clip, shared on X on June 1, has led many traders to treat the rant as a tongue-in-cheek “bottom signal,” as well as to mass criticism from crypto loyalists looking to educate him.
During the livestream, believed to have taken place in late May 2026, Clavicular mocked viewers who had criticized his earlier skepticism toward Bitcoin.
“I’m like, ‘Bitcoin is dogsh*t. Bitcoin, don’t trust this f***ing garbage. It’s a horrible investment,'” Clavicular said.
The streamer recalled a conversation he had with fellow streamer Sneako roughly a month earlier.
Clavicular argued that Bitcoin lacked intrinsic value, describing it as “completely decentralized, unregulated, basically nothing.”
“It’s not a thing. It’s not a product. It’s not anything,” he said.
Clavicular also claimed that Bitcoin’s explosive historical growth made future gains less attractive for investors.
“It’s increased by 110,000x since 2012,” he said. “It’s like you’re not getting any more returns on your investment. It caps out at 100k.”
The comments drew widespread criticism from crypto supporters, many of whom pushed back against his characterization of the asset.
“Always wondered who this person was and why they were famous. Now I know I don’t need to care,” one X user wrote.
“Probably the most glaring bottom signal in the history of financial markets,” another user posted.
Others pointed to continued institutional adoption of Bitcoin, arguing that Clavicular fundamentally misunderstood it.
The rant also reignited discussion surrounding Clavicular’s earlier exchange with controversial streamer Sneako during Bitcoin’s decline in February.
A clip from Sneako’s stream in February showed Clavicular declaring himself “vindicated” after Bitcoin fell below $65,000.
Rather than abandoning his bullish stance, Sneako defended Bitcoin by comparing it with government-issued currencies.
“Fiat currency is based on nothing. Bitcoin is decentralized. Bitcoin you cannot make more,” Sneako said.
The streamer also pointed to growing US government debt, arguing that diversification remained the safest strategy for preserving wealth.
“I think you should diversify,” he said.
“You should have gold, you should have silver, you should have Bitcoin, you should have crypto, you should have real estate.”
Clavicular’s latest crypto comments come just months after he generated backlash over remarks involving a Solana-based meme coin promoted by fellow streamer Androgenic.
In March, Androgenic promoted the $CHAD token during a Kick stream, briefly pushing its market capitalization to around $500,000 before it rapidly collapsed to an estimated $3,000 to $5,000.
The dramatic rise and fall sparked accusations of a rug pull, although Androgenic denied wrongdoing and said he had neither sold his holdings nor profited from the token’s collapse.
Reacting on stream, Clavicular appeared frustrated that he had not been informed about the token launch in advance.
“You would think your buddy would give you a call-out if he’s doing a f***ing meme coin so you could buy in early,” he said.
He then jokingly added: “If your buddy’s doing a f***in’ rug pull, be like, ‘hey, here’s the tip.'”
The remarks quickly circulated online, with critics accusing Clavicular of casually endorsing questionable crypto schemes.
Supporters, however, argued the comments were clearly playful.
“He wants to rip off his fans too,” one X user said. “We made the wrong person famous.”
Clavicular’s criticism of Bitcoin also comes amid broader scrutiny of crypto promotion targeting influencers in his wider social circle.
One of the most prominent examples is controversial streamer Andrew Tate, who has repeatedly drawn attention for a string of failed crypto trades on decentralized derivatives platform Hyperliquid.
Tate has suffered dozens of liquidations while trading highly leveraged Bitcoin positions, with blockchain analytics platforms tracking more than 80 forced closures of his trades.
In November, on-chain data analyzed by Arkham suggested Tate had lost hundreds of thousands of dollars through trading activity despite generating referral revenue from users who signed up through his links.
The losses prompted widespread mockery on X, where traders questioned his strategy and compared his trading activity to gambling rather than investing.
Throughout his time in the limelight, Tate has promoted many get-rich-quick schemes.
On top of launching his own memecoins, such as Daddy Tate (DADDY), he’s also promoted many other tokens, most of which have collapsed with insider trading allegations.
