Okay, Fall Guys was stale.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve likely been spending your days playing rounds of Fall Guys as your schedule allows. However, as you’ve been leveling, you’re probably getting a little sick of the same rounds over and over again – especially considering some rounds appear much more often than others.
With 20 or so days until Season 2, the chances of any variety were looking slim. But that all changed with today’s surprise mid-season update.
Announced via the PlayStation Blog , this surprisingly sizable update will change your Fall Guys experience – for better or worse.
For starters, race rounds will now have random obstacles. Some familiar barriers might be moved around, while others, like falling fruit or swinging pendulums, are placed where there were none before.
More predictable modes, like Gate Crash and Fall Ball, will have their orders messed up as well. Throw your current strategy out the window. Fall Guys is coming for any reliable winners.
Topping it all off is a random, massive hammer that spawns out of the blue. This could send you flying ahead of the pack or throw off your meticulously planned walk across a balance beam. There’s no telling what will happen thanks to this update, and the game is all the better for it.
Besides the more noticeable changes, server stabilization and the overall feel of the game will be tweaked, ensuring a better experience for all.
From my short experience with today’s update, I’d ask that the randomness be upped a little, as some of my episodes didn’t feel much different. However, things vary drastically in the rare times those elements appear.
