  • GTA 6 is a highly anticipated game from one of the world’s most famous game series.
  • Lately, an updated registration related to the game was found by users on Reddit.
  • The updated registration makes it seem like that GTA 6 will once again revisit Vice City.

GTA 6 is one of the most talked-about games online right now.

Rumors are flying about the upcoming game, and the latest one is a big one. According to some folks over on /r/gamingleaksandrumours,  2K has registered the domain ‘gtavicecityonline.com.’

This registration is the most significant sign yet that the next GTA game will be taking us back to yet another classic series location.

GTA 6 - Reddit Discussion
Some of the Reddit users discuss reasons for the domain registration. | Source: Reddit

We Don’t Know for a Fact That This Is About the Newest Game

It’s important to temper expectations here. We have no proof that this domain registration has anything to do with GTA 6, although it was supposedly updated at the same time that 2K was updating their ‘gtavi.com’ registration.

It’s just as likely that this might be about a new event for GTA Online. It’s not unheard of for Rockstar to pull out all the stops for GTA Online events, and a Vice City-themed event would undoubtedly pull a lot of attention.

There’s a decent chance that the GTA 6 domain and the Vice City domain were updated together because 2K was going through their registration at the same time, and not because they’re linked in any way.

GTA 6 Vice City Does Make Sense

While it’s wise to be rational about this situation, but there are a few reasons why this idea makes sense. People on the Reddit thread pointed out that the number 6 in roman numerals  matches the first two letters of Vice City, something that games like Resident Evil 8 have used to their advantage.

It also makes sense for GTA 6 to be set in Vice City because it would be the next logical updating point for the series. GTA 4 and GTA 5 gave us Liberty City, Los Santos, and San Andreas, updated for modern consoles. Updating Vice City isn’t exactly a huge logical leap.

I feel like GTA 6 being set in Vice City is a no-brainer. With all of the other settings, except GTA London, being remade, it seems like we’ll have to go back to not-Miami sooner or later. Let’s not hold our breath though, these games take a while to make, and it seems likely that we’ll be waiting to discover the truth.
