  • Animal Crossing New Horizons is running its first seasonal event, called ‘Bunny Day’.
  • The new event features a rabbit who hides colorful eggs all over your island for you to find.
  • These eggs are starting to annoy players by getting in the way of their day-to-day activities.

Animal Crossing New Horizons is the kind of game we all need right now. In a tough time, it’s nice to have a relaxing island vacation to chill us all out. That is until the magic bunny shows up and turns all of our dreams into nightmares.

If you’re not aware, the new seasonal ‘Bunny Day’ event brings a colorful bunny rabbit to your island. Over the next 12 days, whenever you try to do anything, you’ll probably be interrupted by an egg.

Combine it with the giant, scary face of the rabbit himself, and you can start to get a picture of why fans are getting annoyed with the game.

Animal Crossing New Horizons Is Now an Easter Horror Game

A big part of the gameplay in Animal Crossing New Horizons is fishing and bug-catching. Right now, these tasks are more annoying than ever. You can spend hours running around your island fishing, and come away with 2 fish and 97 water eggs.

The same goes for shooting down balloons, cutting down trees and digging up fossils. All of these activities now have a decent chance of spitting out eggs rather than what they’re supposed to provide you with.

Bear in mind, this event will be in Animal Crossing New Horizons for another 12 solid days. All the way until April 12th you’ll have to deal with eggs interrupting your fishing sessions. If that wasn’t bad enough you’ve also got to worry about that freaky rabbit guy popping up and scaring any younger players.

It’s Not Just Annoying, It’s Horribly Unbalanced

The point of the latest Animal Crossing New Horizons event is to build egg-themed furniture. If you collect and build all the egg recipes, you get a special reward at the end. That comes with its own special problems.

While getting wood, water, and leaf eggs is easy, certain eggs are much rarer. After playing for an hour it’s easy to build up a collection of 40+ tree and wood eggs. But, you’ll likely only get your hands on 1 or 2 stone eggs.

Obviously, fans are not happy about this. Twitter is filled with people complaining about the eggs and their evil-looking bunny overlord . Honestly, it’s hard to blame them. I also can’t wait to see the back of that evil-looking git.
