Preissler reflected that the event was a demonstration of how “mainstream finance” was beginning to embrace the emerging field of cryptocurrencies, pointing to the participation of many of the world’s leading players of traditional finance and banking.

Helen Astaniou, chief marketing officer of trade.io, added that the event would be a showcase of trade.io’s technology and know-how, hoping to help bridge the worlds of crypto/blockchain and traditional finance into a future environment of enhanced coexistence.

There will be many interesting, thought-provoking panels which will include an opening remark from our CEO Jim Preissler, as well as our Director of Research & Development, John Patrick Mullin,” said Astaniou.

The next-generation financial institution

trade.io is a blockchain based financial platform built to bring the industry into the next generation of highest-possible security and transparency. With its flagship product trade.io exchange, complemented by its popular token sale consulting services and Angel Investment Program, trade.io has continued to receive much interest from traditional brokers to add its native digital currency, TIO, to their own platforms.

trade.io made headlines when it raised more than $31 million in its token sale in January 2018, with thousands of supporters and community members eager to witness a solution for greater transparency in financial markets.

Traders can already purchase TIO on several markets on at least seven cryptocurrency exchanges including OKEx, Bancor, gate.io, TIDEX, KuCoin, HitBTC & IDEX, with its own exchange platform soon to be launched. TIO allows traders to seamlessly participate in CFD and FX trading, exposing TIO to a completely new asset class.
