  • Kate Middleton is trying to distance herself from that “Tatler” cover story.
  • “Tatler” publisher Richard Dennen stands by the story.
  • Kate and her camp knew exactly what was going to happen when the story ran.

Kate Middleton is quickly copping pleas.

After British high-society magazine “Tatler” released their cover story on the Duchess of Cambridge, they made worldwide headlines when they claimed that Middleton was “exhausted” with her newfound responsibilities.

And of course, as with all British media these days, they found a way to blame Meghan Markle for the future Queen Consort catching the proverbial vapors.

Though Middleton denies involvement in the story now, her camp had to have known exactly what was going on then. And she let it happen anyway.

Despite Kate Middleton’s Claims, “Tatler” Stands By Its Story

We’ll recall that in the cover story — titled “Catherine The Great”  — Kate Middleton was depicted as “furious” that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals, thus leaving her incapable of “taking her children to school.”

In the story, Middleton is also depicted as “exhausted” because she has new responsibilities.

We also told you that Middleton — via her representatives — denounced the new “Tatler” cover story as “categorically false.”  Today, she’s gone a step further and issued a full denouncement.

This story contains a swathe of inaccuracies and false misrepresentations which were not put to Kensington Palace prior to publication.

“Tatler” publisher Richard Dennen stands by the story .

Kensington Palace knew we were running the ‘Catherine the Great’ cover months ago and we asked them to work together on it. The fact they are denying they ever knew is categorically false.

Kensington Palace Knew — They Just Didn’t Care

It’s hard to believe that Kate Middleton — or anyone else in Kensington Palace — had no idea about the “Tatler” cover story. After all, it was written by Anna Pasternak, a British journalist best known for her work with James Hewitt.

Hewitt was the lover of one Princess Diana  — Prince William’s mother — and their affair dominated headlines as she and Prince Charles slogged it out through their divorce.

At the very least, Prince William’s ears would have pricked up when he heard Pasternak’s name. And it’s lunacy to suggest otherwise.

Kate Middleton knew quite well that when the cover story landed, it would cast Meghan Markle in a bad light . But that’s not her issue. Her issue is that it undermined her strengths and cast her in a bad light.

She must have known what was going to happen. She just didn’t care — until she got the brunt of the blowback.
