DevCore London, the second in The Bitcoin Foundation’s new series of workshops for developers, has been set for April 15th. Hosted at Dexter House inside the Royal Mint building in London, Devcore will bring together all individuals interested in improving their Bitcoin technical expertise in support of the future development of the “Bitcoin Core”.

“We are excited to bring DevCore v2 to London and reach out to the European bitcoin community. Through our partnership with Blockchain, we will build on the success of DevCore v1 in Boston. We have a stellar line-up of speakers and sponsors to help us engage in yet another conversation about the future of Bitcoin Core development,” said Patrick Murck, Executive Director of the Bitcoin Foundation.

The one-day event will open Bitcoin Foundation Chief Scientist, Gavin Andresen, provided a keynote address on “Why We Need A Bigger Chain.” Title Sponsor Blockchain will have their CEO Peter Smith and Lead Developer Matt Tuzzolo give a feature presentation to Devcore attendees.

“We’re excited to support the Foundation’s core focus on the development of the Bitcoin Protocol. With DevCore London, the Foundation is making an exciting commitment to the global capital of FinTech that we’re proud to participate in,” adds Peter Smith, CEO of Blockchain.

There will be many interesting facets to the second Devcore workshop. London’s program will also include special training and certification groups. Panel discussions with leading technical experts, plus an in-depth Q&A with previous Bitcoin Lead Developer Gavin Andresen and current Bitcoin Lead Developer Wladimir van der Laan. Founder of Lighthouse Mike Hearn will also give a feature presentation. And to cover the legal aspects of start-ups, exhibits and networking opportunities, there will be pro bono legal consultation sessions as well.

Whether you are a recent graduate or an advanced C++ programmer, from Bitcoin novices to Bitcoin veterans, all levels of development expertise are welcome to attend. Those joining DevCore London will be more inspired, and better trained, to take Bitcoin Core to the next level of evolution. Devcore London proceedings start promptly at 8:30AM.
