EasyBit Places Bitcoin ATM in Michigan; Claims 50 ATM Locations in 10 Countries

Bitcoin ATM operator EasyBit recently installed an ATM in Fort Gratiot, Michigan at Boost Mobile store, marking nearly 50 machines in operation in over 10 countries, according to the company’s website. With nearly 50 machines, EasyBit becomes the second-largest bitcoin ATM operator behind Coinsource, which has 54 machines, according to numbers compiled by coinatmradar.com.

After launching in December of 2013, EasyBit installed its first bitcoin ATM at Warie’s Thai Restaurant in Amsterdam, although it was later stolen.

A Global Operator

EasyBit has machines in Arizona, Hawaii, Colorado, Texas, Michigan, Georgia and Utah in the United States; in British Columbia, Canada; in Croatia Denmark, Greece, Italy and Slovenia in Europe; and in Vietnam in Asia.

With the recent placement, EasyBit now has four bitcoin ATMs in Michigan, according to the location listing on the company website.

Major Manufacturers

EasyBit uses both Ottawa, Canada-based BitAccess and San Diego, Calif.-based GenesisCoin bitcoin ATM manufacturers.

GenesisCoin has the most bitcoin ATMs installed worldwide, with 326 locations, according to counradaratm.com. BitAccess has the fourth largest presence with 56 locations, following Lamassu with 176 locations and GeneralBytes with 118 locations.

EasyBit has offices in Colorado in the United States and at the Bitcoin Center Argentina in Argentina.
