Binance Wallet is a powerful cryptocurrency storage solution issued by Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange. It supports trading, storing thousands of assets, and interaction with Decentralized Applications (dApps). Its varied capabilities reflect Binance Wallet’s broader strategy of streaming on-chain activity via an interface that’s familiar to crypto enthusiasts.
Predict.fun is the largest prediction market provider on the BNB Smart Chain. It enables people to speculate on various events, such as whether Bitcoin will hit $80,000 or $60,000 first, and the outcomes of eSports matches.
Binance Wallet has just announced a new third-party integration that provides access to Predict.fun’s prediction markets directly within the wallet app. The two companies have joined forces to streamline participation. Binance Wallet provides a simplified interface and easier access, while Predict.fun manages events, pricing, and resolution.
The Binance Wallet Predict.fun integration will enable users to speculate on the outcome of real-world events, crypto price movements, and sports matches. Users pick an outcome and buy shares that resolve at $1 if their prediction is correct. Predict.fun prices shares between $0.01 and $0.99 based on implied probability.
While prediction markets are available on the web, the in-app Binance Wallet integration offers several unique benefits:
The Predict.fun integration empowers Binance Wallet with new capabilities rarely seen within crypto wallet apps. It helps capture the rapidly growing prediction market audience, potentially bringing an influx of users to Binance Wallet. Similarly, the integration could enhance participation in Predict.fun markets, improving liquidity and enabling more markets to operate.
Binance aims to build a ‘super app’ that provides access to every feature a crypto enthusiast could want in a single, unified interface. Such an app would significantly reduce the barrier to entry for cryptocurrency by eliminating the need to manage multiple wallets and platforms just to access common tools.
Winson Liu, the Global Lead of Binance Wallet, had this to say about the integration:
“With this integration, we’re making it simpler for users to access another on-chain utility using a familiar and secure in-app experience. This is part of our broader effort to make Binance more useful day to day by reducing friction and expanding the range of on-chain use cases available through Binance Wallet.”
While it’s too early to say for sure whether the integration will be successful in attracting a significant number of new users, it furthers Binance’s objective of creating an all-in-one super app and simplifies participation in prediction markets, which is a notable benefit in its own right.
