Prince Andrew's ties to Jeffrey Epstein should be a tabloid field day. So why is the press dredging up old news about Meghan Markle instead?

The British press is, once again, attacking Meghan Markle. As with most of their hit pieces, they’re recycling old controversies from back when the Duchess of Sussex lived in the British Isles.
Apparently, there’s another “explosive new royal memoir” that explains again how Poor Sweet Put-Upon Kate Middleton felt so upset about something Meghan may or may not have done.
Who even cares at this point? Meghan Markle moved to Los Angeles and isn’t coming back in the near future. The British citizenry, press, and royal family all got what they wanted — which was her gone — so why can’t they just shut up about it?
Let’s discuss the real issue: why is the British press so eager to trash Meghan Markle – and so reluctant to do the same to Prince Andrew?
According to this latest “explosive news story,” Tom Quinn “exclusively revealed” that Middleton was frequently left devastated because Markle had difficulty adapting to the constraints of royal life.
Cue the same old tired stories about how the Duchess of Sussex is an evil gold digger who manipulated Prince Harry and stole him away from the British public. Yawn.
Meanwhile, actual journalists are allegedly being told to avoid talking about Prince Andrew and his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
Maybe the tabloids would feel different if Meghan Markle was the one with unsavory links to the disgraced financier.
In the wake of Ghislaine Maxwell’s arrest, journalists are coming forward to reveal how there’s a British media junta barring them from talking about Prince Andrew.
That’s what ABC White House correspondent Tara Palmeri says happened to her today.
Other journalists claim that’s not an isolated incident.
The British press should be calling for Prince Andrew’s head. Instead, they’re still targeting most of their fire at Meghan Markle.
The tabloids can’t avoid the scandal altogether, of course. There are plenty of headlines about Andrew, hardly any of which get the “Markle treatment” – even when they criticize him.
It’s far too easy to find articles spreading narratives like the dubious assertion that Prince Andrew “doesn’t know a lot” about Jeffrey Epstein.
Here’s another example, via a “friend” of Ghislaine Maxwell:
All these people thinking he is evil are just wrong. He is just the kind of entitled person who sees everyone as a servant.
How quaint and dainty. You can almost smell the tea and cucumber-and-mayo sandwiches on white bread from here.
