If there’s one person who has been by Donald Trump’s side throughout much of his life, it’s his daughter, Ivanka. From being a judge on his hit series The Apprentice to serving as an advisor to her father in the White House, Ivanka seems to have the president wrapped around her finger.
One of Ivanka’s key areas of focus is entrepreneurship, which is probably the group that stands to lose the most in an anti-crypto environment in the U.S. While bitcoin doesn’t need Trump’s approval to exist, a crypto-friendly approach would attract more innovation to the U.S. But trying to change Trump’s mind by sending him angry tweets is a little bit like yelling at a cloud.
Ivanka, who is 37 years old, just squeaks by to make it into the millennial generation as defined by Pew Research. Millennials are known not only for their own use of digital technology but also for swaying older generations to use it, too. While Donald Trump is not a fan of bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency is a big hit with millennials. They are sold on BTC for a combination of its investment potential and decentralized nature.
Whether or not Ivanka fits into this category is irrelevant. Even if she’s not invested, surely she has a friend who appreciates bitcoin’s ability to not only change lives but the world. The Trumps may have a thing for the precious metal gold, but that only stands to support Ivanka’s potential appreciation for digital gold. Donald Trump is a gold bull who has previously said:
“Bringing back the gold standard would be very hard to do, but boy, would it be wonderful. We’d have a standard on which to base our money.”
The thing about Trump is he is set in his ways. He’s not just going to change his mind on an issue – and bitcoin is an issue now that he has made its way onto the main stage – because someone asks him to. But if that someone happens to be Ivanka, who has a pulse of what’s gripping millennials, he might. Even though crypto is not limited to any single generation, she might be the best way to reach him.
