There’s a beautiful road in the Midwest where Bitcoin has a place to stay. Welcome to the Cedar and Lee district, adoringly nicknamed Bitcoin Boulevard (of the US). This stretch of the street is located in Cleveland Heights, OH. On May 1, nine stores so far are scheduled to begin accepting Bitcoin in the goal of forming this part of Cleveland into a hub of Bitcoin shopping. This area, over two walkable blocks, will include:

In addition, Monroe Constructs, a design and construction company, is also joining the Bitcoin Boulevard group. Spearheading this project was CoinNeo, a Bitcoin consulting firm that helps educate people for the safe and secure utilization of Bitcoin technology and practices. This initiative is based on the Bitcoin Boulevard of the Netherlands, which is one of the biggest Bitcoin centers of the world. According to Crain’s Cleveland Business news, CoinNeo’s owner Nikhil Chand has reached out to the NL community.

“Together, we hope to grow the Bitcoin Boulevard concept worldwide.”

Everyday use of Bitcoins will really be the future of Bitcoin markets because, as Revive, a fair trade retailer, took notice, Bitcoin allows international tourists and visitors to spend without going through tricky USD exchanges. Others want to attract a digital market on the internet ans see the positives of Bitcoin’s low transaction fees that are international. The organizers of Bitcoin Boulevard US would like to invite all cryptocurrency enthusiasts in the area to not only enjoy the splendor of products and services available come May 1st, but also take part in their Cleveland Bitcoin meetups. From their site:

‘We invite everyone, whether novice or expert to join our meetups. This group allows Bitcoiners from around Cleveland to connect, collaborate, and inspire.’

There will be a meetup on May 1st at 6PM at The Wine Spot and more will come in the future. As Bitcoin continues to be integrated in brick-and-mortar establishments, the cryptocommunity can begin escaping the heavy and dark labels that have been placed on them like narcotic fanatics or terrorists, ponzi schemers or money launderers. It is incredibly positive for the the cryptocurrencies to be legitimized as a true and plausible technological advancement in the economy and projects like this are certainly in the right direction. It truly is an exciting time to be involved with this technology. History will be made here.
