Thomas Richard “Tom” Carper, the senior United States Senator from Delaware, told in a recent video interview with Bloomberg that he is very interested in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and that:

The idea with virtual currencies has some promises. We will get a report on Bitcoin within the next month. In the meantime, virtual currencies are probably not going away, and if they are going to be a reality we need to figure out a way to let them exist to do good – and how to deal with the bad sides of it.
