Sony’s ‘Only on PlayStation Collection’ Is a Stunning PS4 Victory Lap

Sony announced  today the Only On PlayStation Collection, a carefully curated selection of what have been widely deemed the finest PS4 exclusives from the past few years.

Gorgeous Re-imagined PS4 Artwork

Similar in spirit to the existing PlayStation Hits drive Sony kick-started last year, the Only On PlayStation Collection is smaller, more refined, and each of the ten games features a gorgeous re-imagining of their artwork as a collectible sleeve.

The new interpretations adopt a looser, minimalist art style that uses shadows to highlight the most iconic parts of the games.

Sony has also assigned each title a distinct color that does well to capture the essence of each game.

Finally, an emblem synonymous with each PlayStation exclusive sits on the back of the sleeve.

Describing them as anything less than stunning does them a disservice. Sony has knocked the ball out of the park with this one.

A Hand-Picked Lineup of PlayStation 4 Exclusives

The Collection includes a dizzying array of exclusives that highlights just how dominant the PS4 was during this iteration of the console wars.

Here’s the 10-game lineup:

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man
  • The Last of Us Remastered
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • God of War
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
  • Bloodborne
  • The Last Guardian
  • Ratchet & Clank
  • Shadow of the Colossus
  • WipEout Omega Collection

By anyone’s standards, the lineup is well-thought-out and appropriate, showcasing the very best of this generation of Sony exclusives. These are, for many, the PlayStation 4’s must-play games.

As it stands, the Only On PlayStation Collection is only available in the UK via the British answer to Gamestop, the retailer Game , for less than £15.00.

Presumably, Sony will release the Collection on US soil and to mainland European markets before long. There’s no word on an exact date as of writing.
