Sharon Stone Blames Anti-Maskers for Sister’s Illness – And She’s Right!

Sharon Stone has been personally affected by COVID-19.

In an impassioned social media post, the “Basic Instinct” actress has revealed that her sister, Kelly, has been battling the so-called “coronavirus.” Stone also blamed “non-mask-wearers” for her sister contracting the deadly disease.

But Stone’s revelation also, perhaps inadvertently, revealed a bigger issue: the United States has no national mask mandate and as such, has been unable to do what far poorer countries have been able to do: get the coronavirus under control.

Sharon Stone Has Had It With COVID-Hoaxers

What both Kelly and Sharon Stone have shared about Kelly’s COVID-19 struggle is heart-rending.

Previously, Kelly Stone claimed that she and her husband had fled to Montana in the hopes that they’d be able to avoid COVID-19. Kelly suffers from lupus, and as such, is immunocompromised.

Her efforts were futile.

This is us. March 13. Drove to our paradise in Montana. We thought covid wouldn’t and couldn’t find us. No shopping, no parties, barely saw a human. Now fighting for a breath.you don’t want covid.

But Sharon Stone took a much more hardline approach:

My sister Kelly, who already has lupus, now has COVID-19. This is her hospital room. One of you Non-Mask wearers did this.
She does not have an immune system.
The only place she went was the pharmacy.
There is no testing in her county unless you are symptomatic, & then it’s a 5-day wait for results.

Wear a mask! For yourself and others. Please.

It Shouldn’t Be This Difficult To Follow A Simple Directive

While, certainly, Kelly Stone was more susceptible to COVID-19 due to her immunocompromised state, Sharon Stone brings up a valid point.

More than 170,000 Americans have died as a result of COVID-19, and more than 5 million have been infected. As the pandemic continues to drag on, studies have shown that Americans are becoming more “lax” in their preventative measures against the disease, which leads to more spread of the virus.

But, to put it another way: the United States’ response to COVID-19 is the literal worst in the world. Rather than listen to scientists and other medical professionals who have dedicated their lives to finding treatments and cures for deadly diseases, Donald Trump has preferred to pedal “magic potions” because they’re manufactured by companies that line his pockets — all while claiming that the virus is little more than a “Democratic hoax.”

While a national mask mandate would be difficult to enact — thanks, American exceptionalism, and the odious QAnon — it’s also necessary if we want to prevent more deaths.

No one thought that Sharon Stone would be the messenger for the American greater good — yet, here we are.
