Rose McGowan is on a Hollywood justice tour. Her latest stop involves Sideways director Alexander Payne.
McGowan implicated Payne in sexual misconduct in several tweets today.
McGowan has risen from the ashes of her Harvey Weinstein revelations to call out fake and abusive Hollywood mainstays, and it’s been a delight to watch.
Alexander Payne likely woke up this morning to a flurry of notifications. That’s because Rose McGowan accused the Nebraska director of abusing her when she was 15.
McGowan tweeted that Payne showed her softcore porn when she was 15, implied that they engaged in sexual activities, then left her on a street corner.

Her description lines up with her 2018 portrayal of an “Oscar-winning director” who had sex with her when she was 15.
In an interview, she said:
I always thought of it just as a sexual experience even though I had not … I was in bed and I was like … I think that’s molestation? Is it?
She followed her first accusatory tweet up with this gem:
McGowan claimed that she “does not want to destroy” Alexander Payne, in a tweet to the masses.
If she really didn’t want to destroy him, she could’ve reached out to him personally, or at least not publicly. And to be fair, maybe she did.
Maybe Payne never responded. Either way, his comeuppance is cold and calculated, just like his alleged abuse.
The photo of her 15-year-old self is just a creative masterstroke. McGowan is turning #MeToo into an art form. And it’s not the first time she’s eloquently dismantled someone.
It all started with her takedown of Harvey Weinstein. In her book “Brave,” McGowan called him a “warthog from hell” and a “sociopathic predator” who forced sexual acts on her.
She’s been on the warpath ever since. And good for her.
Hollywood has been a cesspool of abuse for too long. And lately, it’s become a breeding ground for virtue-signaling. Rose McGowan is on it.
In February, she called out Natalie Portman for fake feminism.
In April, she destroyed Alyssa Milano, calling the #MeToo pioneer a fraud for supporting Joe Biden.
And now, she’s taking down Alexander Payne.
Rose McGowan is a direct product of the abuse and hypocrisy of those in power. But instead of crumbling under the weight of her abusers (which would be entirely understandable), she’s found her voice.
Now she’s holding Hollywood accountable, and it’s about time someone stepped into that role.
