OKEx Celebrates First Anniversary in Malta

OKEx, a leading global crypto exchange, is set to celebrate the first anniversary of launching its headquarters in Malta. Since its launch one year ago, the firm joined hands with MSX, Malta Stock Exchange Holdings’ digital and FinTech arm. Through this partnership, the two parties rolled out OKMSX, an institutional-grade exchange for security tokens to underpin Malta’s “Blockchain Island” initiative.

OKMSX uses OKEx’s crypto operations and technical knowledge in alliance with Malta Stock Exchange’s experience in regulatory compliance and client due diligence in its operations. After a year of gearing up, the exchange is now in its final development stages and is set to go live in the first quarter of 2020. It aims to serve clients across the globe.

Delta Summit Tech Week

OKEx and Delta Summit are set to work together in hosting Malta’s first-ever Tech Week from September 30 to October 4 this year. This joint effort will be in celebration of the anniversary of OKEx’s opening of their headquarters in Malta. The Delta Summit Tech Week converges experts in different tech sectors including cryptocurrency, blockchain, AI, and IoT; among others.

Malta’s Prime Minister, Dr. Joseph Muscat and Malta’s Parliamentary Secretary Hon. Silvio Schembri are among the key speakers of this event. At the moment, sponsorship and speaking opportunities are still open for application.

Malta’s Innovation-friendly Regulations Continues Attracting Tech Startups

Malta has friendly regulations on disruptive technologies. As a result, the country has attracted a lot of startups that search for base of operations. According to Andy Cheung, the head of operations at OKEx said,
