Please discuss in this Bitcointalk thread!

Two media releases were sent out today indicating that Netherlands based Mining ASICs Technologies (MAT) has emerged as the potentially heaviest hitter in the ever growing ASIC Mining arena: a 6 TH/s machine that consumes upwards of 6500W for a price of €6,999.  Not only is MAT planning to offer the most powerful and energy efficient Bitcoin ASICs to date, they are also going to develop Scrypt Miners.  This marks the first ASIC mining company that is offering both SHA-256 and Scrypt mining solutions in an attempt to capture the general Cryptocoins mining market as opposed to just the Bitcoin side.  Additionally, the miners are being marketed as universal and in no way are they required to mine on Bitcoin or Litecoin only.

Pre orders will open at the end of this week 2/28/14, or the beginning of next week 3/3/14, according to my email correspondences with MAT.

MAT is offering the TITANIUM, the EXCALIBUR, and the PLATINUM miners

The predicted GH/s/$ (or GH/s/Euro) of MAT’s TITANIUM ASIC is much better than the offerings of American based CoinTerra and Butterfly Labs.  Also, a purported 6 TH/s would make the TITANIUM the single most powerful Bitcoin mining machine in existence, a claim that MAT seems eager to make.

MAT has plans for Scrypt Mining ASICs and FPGAs as well
Gone are the days where the forums are filled with naysayers doubting the physical possibility of creating an ASIC dedicated for any type of mining.  In fact, Scrypt Mining ASICs have already been spotted in the wild in small USB form and the community knows that dedicated rack mountable devices are merely forthcoming, not vaporware.

MAT’s EXCALIBUR ASIC Scrypt Miner offers 50 MH/s  for € 4,999; their PLATINUM FPGA Scrypt Miner will offer at least 10 MH/s for € 2,999.  The power specification estimates for MAT’s Scrypt mining regiment have not yet been released; needless to say, I eagerly await them.

It has been revealed that the EXCALIBUR will come in flavors 1 2 and 3, as will the PLATINUM.  The EXCALIBUR will offer speeds from 50 MH/s for the 1 to 200 MH/s for the 3.  The price for 200 MH/s of Scrypt ASICs  is €14,999; the price for 30 MH/s of Scrypt FPGAs is €5,999.  It is not yet clear if the FPGAs would be shipped before the ASICs.

Is it too good to be true?
MAT is working with Dream Chip Technologies to get the chip designed and they are using Global Foundries’ German plant to create the actual chips and devices.  Both Dream Chip and Global Foundries have decades of experience in the industry and I can’t doubt their ASIC manufacturing prowess anymore than Alpha Technology’s Dexcel Designs.  The difference being that Dexcel currently has corroborating evidence on their site announcing the partnership with Alpha Technologies, which goes a long way in allaying the fears of skeptical onlookers.
Undoubtedly, the Bitcoin community will have brave volunteers located in the Netherlands go and check out the listed address on MAT, and German Bitcoiners may step forward and vouch for either Dream Chip or Global Foundries, and possibly both.  I look forward to more information on MAT coming to light thanks to the elite sleuthing skills of the Bitcoin community.
Also important to note is that MAT is only accepting Bitcoin, via BitPay, and bank transfer for preorders, and preorders require a 35% deposit.  If you spend your bitcoins, you won’t get the same amount of bitcoins back should you seek a refund in the future.  MAT is not using Paypal, make of that what you will.

Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) launch of new TITANIUM ASIC Bitcoin miner with 3 TH/s and 6 TH/s of power

MAASTRICHT, NEDERLANDS www.mining-asics-technologies.com
NETHERLANDS – based Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) today announce the start
of developing Titanium, the new-generation high powerful ASIC Bitcoin miner using 28nm
chips that will provide at least 6 TH/s of power.

The new designed powerful 28nm ASICs Bitcoin miner will ship Q3 / 2014, according to the
founder Marc Coumans of Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT).

Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) have signed a partnership with German
Company Dream Chip Technologies. Dream Chip Technologies is a German engineering
company with a strong track record in System on Chip and embedded Software design.
The marketing model of Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) is very conservative. It
publishes nominal specifications for its devices ahead of time, with the caveat that these will
probably be at the low end, and that real-world performance will be even higher.

TITANIUM – 28 nm ASIC BITCOIN MINER 6 TH/s
€ 6.999,00. 35% Deposit – € 2.449,65.
Hashrate minimum guarantee 6 TH/s

TITANIUM – 28 nm ASIC BITCOIN MINER 3 TH/s
€ 3.999,00. 35% Deposit – € 1.399,65.
Hashrate minimum guarantee 6 TH/s

Shipments are planned to start in September of Year 2014.

Coumans saying that its Titanium ASICs Bitcoin miner 3 TH/s or 6 TH/s is a minimum figure of power.
He is also questioning the competition’s ability to deliver the performance promised with their
28nm boxes. “We are going to be better in four ways than the existing competition.
Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) will provide more performance for reasonable
prices, very good quality and we will actually deliver.”

Fabrication and delivery of ASICs

The 28nm ASIC chips will be fabricated by Global Foundries in Dresden, Germany.
All components for our Bitcoin ASIC miners will be fabricated in German facilities.
This is the guarantee for a very good quality of our high performance Litecoin and Bitcoin ASIC miners.

Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) will be taking only 35 percent as a deposit
payment. There is no full payment for pre-orders needed. Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) will offer its own hosting service for their customers within the next two month.

Coumans suggests that Mining ASICs Technologies B.V. (MAT) hosted operation will be a very good and cheap option considering the expected high electrical draw of the 6 TH/s ASIC Bitcoin miners.

Our shop at www.mining-asics-technologies.com will be soon open for pre-orders.

For the next days we will not take any orders and we are only registering enquiries from interested customers.

Please note: All specifications at the moment are pre-release and subject to change.
