The royal rumor mill is spitting out fresh news on the Sussexes. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly ‘eyeing’ a move to the Big Apple after the pandemic lifts.
If they’re hoping to escape into anonymity there and ease their alleged tensions, they have another thing coming.
According to The Daily Star, a ‘royal expert’ sees the couple spending much more time in New York City.
She claims that if the couple tires of California, they’re “likely to go somewhere like New York City.”
Adding,
The Big Apple and the people are used to celebrities and people of status living there, so they aren’t going to be too bothered if they are there.
Oh, really?
It’s highly unlikely that they would improve upon their current privacy situation. Meghan Markle and co. are living in a “paparazzi proof” Los Angeles mansion. They’ve even built fences to block the view.
And nowhere on Earth is more accustomed to “celebrities and people of status” than Hollywood.
A move to New York City would put them in the thick of the crowds, which may cloak them at times, but when they do get caught, they won’t be able to just drive away.
NYC has its own heavy contingent of paparazzi to contend with as well.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have become two of the most recognizable faces in the world. There aren’t many private places they can go at this point. And that’s not great news for their relationship.
There are growing whispers that Prince Harry is getting fed up with life in America. He allegedly misses his friends and his family, and he feels completely out of place in Los Angeles.
Some speculate further that location isn’t the main issue for the couple. It’s Meghan Markle’s careerist agenda that’s causing the rift.
It’s no secret that Meghan has Hollywood aspirations. Since spearheading her family’s move to LA, she’s landed a nice, if not grating, Disney gig. This was likely only possible because of her royal association.
But worse, she appears to be turning Prince Harry into a doormat.
Check out this video of her cutting off Prince Harry:
Even her dad agrees.
According to recent reports, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a pact early in their relationship to become “roving royals.”
At this point, it feels like they’re toeing the line between “roving” and “on the run.” I can’t imagine how difficult it is to live in constant media scrutiny. It seems they just want to live a “normal” life.
But if that’s the case, they never should’ve left Canada. They could’ve had privacy and relative anonymity there. The paparazzi are far less invasive there if they even exist at all.
But something drove them into the heart of Hollywood. And that same thing could drive them apart.
