The more we read about the situation between Harry and William, the more it seems that Meghan Markle played Prince Harry like an old violin.
Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left their positions as working members of the royal family and embarked on a freeloading spree in North America, the relationship between Harry and brother Prince William has been a hot topic.
Have they fallen out? Why the strain on their relationship? Who was “in the wrong?”
I’m not quite sure why there’s been so much confusion. It seems painfully obvious to me what happened, and we see more information emerge on an almost weekly basis.
Quite simply, Prince Harry took offense at his older brother, suggesting that he may want to take some time and get to know Meghan Markle before he dives into a relationship.
Look, as far as Prince Harry goes, I get it. It can’t be easy being “the other brother” while Prince William is front and center as the heir to the throne.
But come on, it seems evident to me that the younger prince has been played by an older, more experienced, and more street-wise woman.
Meghan Markle knew precisely what she was doing. She knew which buttons she had to press to get what she wanted from Prince Harry.
And what did she want from him? Two things. Royal status and money.
According to the Royals at War book, Prince William allegedly took his younger brother aside and asked if Meghan was the right one.
Prince Harry’s reaction was, for me, telling.
His offense at his brother asking him this question tells me that he wasn’t sure of Meghan Markle. If he had the utmost confidence in his relationship with Meghan, he wouldn’t have felt threatened by such a question.
According to the Daily Mail, the authors of the book hint at the idea of Prince Harry being attracted to Meghan Markle for the following reason:
The authors suggest Prince Harry was drawn to his future wife’s ‘confidence, commitment, drive and ambition’ because ‘subconsciously he was seeking a figure to replace the mother so cruelly torn from him at a vulnerable age.
Not only did Prince William show concern for his brother, but Duchess Kate Middleton also wanted to make sure Harry knew what he was doing.
The same Kate Middleton Prince Harry frequently referred to as “the big sister I never had.”
According to the authors of Royals at War:
She gently reminded him that he was dating someone with a completely different life, past, and career. And it would take time, care, and attention for them to integrate.
Did Prince Harry take heed the advice and concerns of two people who love him and who have looked out for him for years?
Of course not. He reacted as any immature child would by digging his heels in and throwing a tantrum, claiming that everyone was against him.
Look, all but the most deluded Sussex Squad members know that Meghan Markle is not much more than a C-list actress. Her ceiling is supporting cast level in soap operas, and that’s nothing to be ashamed of. Many actors and actresses don’t even get that far.
But her relationship with Prince Harry, much like her previous romantic relationships, is designed to further her own agenda and aspirations.
In Prince Harry, she saw an immature man who has a litany of mother issues due to the tragic death of Princess Diana.
Meghan has taken advantage of those issues to secure herself some form of royal status and access to the kind of money she could only dream of earning on her own.
Regardless of what we may think about Meghan Markle, she has come in and played the royal family like a fiddle. She identified the weakest link in Prince Harry.
Prince William and Kate Middleton never stood a chance against someone who can play games as she does.
