Katy Perry Needs to Teach Khloe Kardashian How to Let Go

Katy Perry just revealed the crippling effects of her breakup with Orlando Bloom. As scary as it may sound, people like Khloe Kardashian should be leaping head-first into that discomfort.

There are libraries of books about how to process grief, whether from a death or a breakup. Most experts agree you can’t move on until you move through the emotions.

Maybe that’s why Khloe Kardashian seems so stuck.

Katy Perry’s brave reveal could act as a template for Khloe to move past Tristan Thompson. But it probably won’t.

Katy Perry: “I Lost My Smile”

Perry didn’t mince words in her recent interview on the Canadian radio show “Q on CBC.” She describes, in painful detail, the agony she went through after her breakup with Orlando Bloom.

“It literally broke me in half,” Perry said.

She continued:

I lost my smile. I don’t know if my smile was ever fully, like, authentically mine but I was riding on the high of a smile for a long time. Which was the validation, love, and admiration from the outside world, and then that shifted.

She said the validation no longer got her high, and she “just crashed.” Perry then went through a period of “necessary brokenness,” which lead to a new relationship with gratitude.

She explains:

Gratitude is probably the thing that saved my life because if I didn’t find that I probably would’ve wallowed in my own sadness and just jumped. I found ways to be grateful, and every morning when I wake up… the very first thing I say out loud is, ‘Thank you God for today. I am grateful in every way.

Katy Perry moved through the five stages of grief:  denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.

Unfortunately, Khloe Kardashian appears to be stuck on the second stage.

Khloe Kardashian Is Still Holding On

While Perry moved through her breakup and healed, Khloe Kardashian appears to be guarding her heart with an iron shield.

After her boyfriend Tristan Thompson cheated on her with her best friend Jordyn Woods,  Khloe was clearly in touch with her anger.

But she hasn’t moved very far past that. You could argue she’s still in the first stage: denial.

Last month, after former Thompson fling, Kimberly Alexander claimed he got her pregnant, Khloe threatened to sue her.

Did Khloe Kardashian forget that Tristan cheated on her and “wrecked” her “home”? How much denial do you have to be in to come to his defense now?

According to the video below, Tristan cheated her with at least four women.

But Khloe was in denial from the get-go when she blamed Jordyn Woods for wrecking her home instead of Tristan in the first place.

It’s been over a year since these two broke up. Khloe’s “new look” isn’t going to fix anything. She needs to experience that “necessary brokenness.”

Katy Perry, please grab this woman’s hand and walk her through the next stages of the grieving process. It’s getting painful to watch.
