Gisele Bundchen is commonly referred to as the 'wife of Tom Brady,' but you could argue she's an even bigger success than her husband.
Supermodel Gisele Bundchen is known in the American media predominately as “Tom Brady’s wife.” Sure, the new Tampa Bay Buccaneer is one of the greatest football players of all-time.
But Gisele Bundchen has made her claim as one of the greatest supermodels of all-time as well. You could argue that financially speaking, Tom Brady should be referred to as “Gisele Bundchen’s husband.”
Much like her husband, Gisele Bundchen had humble beginnings. She was first discovered in a McDonald’s in her small Brazilian town Horizontina. The rest was history.
Gisele powered her way to the top of the modeling industry. In 2016, Forbes named her the world’s highest-paid model after she raked in a whopping $30.5 million.
She’s had, or has, fruitful contracts with major brands like Chanel, Louis Vitton, H&M, and Carolina Herrera.
Bundchen has her own line of sandals with Grendene, which is an international success. She launched her makeup line Sejaa Pure Skincare in 2011.
All of these contracts, plus numerous other engagements add up to whopping $400 million net worth for the Brazilian beauty. That’s nearly double the net worth of her ball-tossing husband.
But he could just be copying his wife.
Gisele Bundchen is in her 40s now as well. She’s had two children. And yet, she looks like this:
She’s practiced yoga and meditation for nearly half of her life, something she no doubt introduced to Tom.
On top of her physical appearance and business mind, she’s an outspoken activist. She’s feuded with Brazilian officials over climate change.
Stefano Gabbana, of Dolce & Gabbana, praised Bundchen:
Gisele hasn’t changed over the years: she speaks a lot, she is funny and she is not scared of saying what she thinks.
Simply put: Gisele Bundchen is a champion, even if she doesn’t have any Super Bowl rings. She wasn’t even interested in Brady at first. It’s time to stop pretending she’s just “Tom Brady’s wife.”
