Although Cyberpunk 2077 is still roughly two months away from release, the first PS4 platinum trophy has already been earned. Not by a lucky player, who by surreptitious means, has bagged an early play-through, but by CD Projekt Red’s quality assurance lead, Łukasz Babiel.
In a tweet authored earlier today, Babiel wowed fans with a screen-grab of a full Cyberpunk 2077 trophy cabinet , which they humorously described as ‘just a normal day at work.’
We’d wager that more than few would be delighted at the idea of landing the coveted title as the first person to earn the Cybperunk 2077 platinum trophy as part of their daily work duties.
When asked by another Twitter user how long the achievement took, Babiel noted that assigning a time frame for the playthrough was a tough ask given ticking off all of Cyberpunk 2077 trophies was the fruit a collective effort from the QA team.
Babiel added that the QA team plans to put its gaming chops to the test in ‘speedrun contests’ in the future. The QA lead says they’ll use info gleaned from these to share a ‘how long to beat’ estimate.
As for the details, Babiel’s screenshot reveals that Cyberpunk 2077 features one platinum trophy, one gold trophy, seventeen silver trophies, and twenty-six bronze trophies.
While a total of 45 trophies seems on the low-end, CD Projekt Red’s acclaimed open-world action-RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, counts slightly more at 53, not factoring the two expansions.
As for other open-world AAA games, Ghost of Tsushima boasts 52 trophies, while Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s trophy count hits 51. As such, Cyberpunk 2077’s is ever so slightly below average, but nothing too out of the ordinary.
Encouragingly for fans raring to try their hand at claiming Cyberpunk 2077’s selection of trophies, the platinum implies everything is on track for CD Projekt Red to release the twice-delayed Cyberpunk 2077 on Nov. 19.
