Carole Baskin Claws Onto ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Because It’s 2020

• “DWTS” has really jumped the shark — or more appropriately, the tiger.

“Dancing With The Stars” continues to be as ridiculous as 2020 is.

After announcing Tyra Banks as its new host, the former ABC juggernaut continues its journey into irrelevance with a lineup that’s nothing short of disastrous.

Outside of its irrelevant actors and over-the-hill rappers, the reality competition show has announced that Carole Baskin of “Tiger King” fame is also in its lineup.

What Has Carole Baskin Done To Merit An Invite On “Dancing With The Stars”?

Part of what used to be the fun in “Dancing With The Stars” is seeing names you haven’t seen in a long time. When Alfonso Ribiero appeared one season, he immediately endeared himself to us — and others — into getting his own hosting gig. Billy Dee Williams is an international treasure, and watching him on the show brought joy to “Star Wars” fans the world over.

Even watching wrestlers like Nikki Bella do their thing brought us a little bit of joy.

But lately, the lineups have included some of the worst people in history. First, there was Sean Spicer. Now, “Dancing With The Stars” has invited Carole Baskin onto the show.

Carole Baskin Isn’t As Bad As Joe Exotic — But She’s No Saint, Either

I know Joe Exotic isn’t exactly a model citizen — and I’ve made clear that I think he’s trash — but that doesn’t mean Carole Baskin is a saint on Earth.

Let’s be reminded that Baskin’s “employees” were mostly volunteers  — meaning, unpaid. While she didn’t abuse or kill the cats the way Joe Exotic did — and isn’t a known racist like Exotic is  — her Big Cat Rescue didn’t always have the most stellar reputation. And this is to say nothing of the accusations that refuse to die about her husband .

When “Tiger King” first came out, I — and many others — were #TeamNobody. My opinion remains unchanged.

Putting Carole Baskin on “Dancing With The Stars” is the worst idea these producers ever had.
