Things are not looking great for Tiger King star Carole Baskin. She tried to take down rapper Cardi B, and Cardi B put her well into her place.
But that’s not all.
Baskin can’t escape allegations that she murdered her ex-husband, Don Lewis. Those allegations just received a new level of legal credence this week.
Joe Exotic was the bad guy we loved to root for, and Carole Baskin was the ‘good’ woman who might finally be getting the karma that Tiger King viewers have been calling for.
Cardi B cannot be stopped, certainly not by Carole Baskin.
Fresh off of her provocative music video for “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B’s stock has never been higher. Naturally, that’s when the haters appear.
Video: Watch Cardi B fully express herself
Carole Baskin is one such naysayer. Baskin told Billboard that she was not okay with the use of tigers in Cardi B’s music video.
But that wasn’t all she took offense with:
My guess is that most people won’t even see the Photoshopped cats in the scenes because the rest of it is so lurid.
Whoops.
Baskin said that “WAP” likely employed abusive “big cat pimps.” She said the video “glamorized” tigers as pets and would make Cardi B’s ‘ignorant followers’ want to do the same.
Cardi B publicly supported Baskin’s nemesis, Joe Exotic, back in March.
She even took a swipe at Carole Baskin, which Baskin no doubt noticed.
So when Carole clawed back at her last week, the outspoken rapper responded swiftly and brutally.
She told i-D magazine that she wasn’t going to engage with Carole Baskin, before dropping this bomb:
Like, girl you killed your goddamn husband.
Ouch.
Then she took what could be perceived as a swipe against Baskin’s husband, Howard:
Some of these men are uncomfortable, they’re not even comfortable being sensual. Maybe you’re conservative, but everybody got a little freak inside them, you know? Every single person. Everybody gets horny, everybody gets a little tingle down there, you know what I’m saying. Just embrace it. Don’t be scared about it.
But at this point, Cardi should be the least of Carole Baskin’s worries.
John M. Phillips, one of the family lawyers of Don Lewis, tweeted that Carole Baskin was served with a lawsuit this week. Hilariously, the company serving the suit took a selfie with Baskin in a golf cart.
According to Phillips, she was invited to “sit down and discuss the death and disappearance of Don Lewis.”
The family of Don Lewis has already offered a $100k reward for information regarding the case.
If the case continues to gain momentum, Carole Baskin could be in the kind of trouble that would make Cardi B look like her best friend.
