  • Retailer FNAC has included Bloodborne Remastered in a list of games heading to PS5.
  • Rumors surfaced over the summer suggesting a PS5 and PC remaster of From Software’s acclaimed title was in the works.
  • The PS4 version of Bloodborne is heading to the PS5’s PlayStation Plus Collection.

Fresh off a meaty – and it has to be said, compelling – look at the Bluepoint Games-developed Demon’s Souls remake during Sony’s PS5 showcase, there’s more good news for From Software fans, specifically in the shape of PS4 exclusive Bloodborne.

On a freshly-minted ‘everything you need to know’ page about the PS5, major French retailer FNAC has a comprehensive list of all games so far confirmed as heading to PS5 . Among them is the curious Bloodborne Remastered.

Bloodborne

Does the retailer know something we don’t, and has it inadvertently let the cat out of the bag ahead of an official announcement from PlayStation?

Possibly. Or it could be a speculative addition fueled by rumors about a PS5 port of Bloodborne, of which there’s been no shortage in recent months.

Another possibility is that it’s a blunder, a mix-up stemming from Sony revealing Bloodborne as part of the raft of PS4 titles to inaugurate the PS5’s PlayStation Plus Collection . FNAC doesn’t list any other confirmed PS Plus Collection game, which takes some wind out of the sails of this particular theory.

Interestingly, the listing doesn’t earmark Bloodborne Remastered as a PS5 exclusive (it features two lists – one for exclusives, one for ‘other games announced for PS5’), which feeds into previous rumors of a PC port.

It’s a shot in the arm for rumors that bubbled over during the summer. Multiple sources confirmed a remastered version of Bloodborne was in the works with planned releases on PS5 and PC. Showcases came and went, and excitement naturally declined as Sony remained tight-lipped.

With the overwhelmingly positive response to Demon’s Souls, it’s difficult to imagine a world where Sony hasn’t at least considered the possibility. Bloodborne on PS5 and PC would sell like gangbusters.
