  • Babylon’s Fall gets a new trailer after radio silence for almost two years.
  • Bayonetta 3 was announced even earlier, and it still hasn’t received an update.
  • Platinum Games has also unveiled and released Astral Chain since then.

Babylon’s Fall has a new trailer that finally gives us our first substantial fresh look at the game since its E3 2018 reveal. The trailer isn’t just cinematic; it even gives a glimpse at gameplay, which is a huge plus.

That Babylon’s Fall trailer gives gamers a peek at some fantasy medieval settings and the combat. The game looks to be another stellar hack-n-slash from Platinum Games with some interesting battle mechanics.

Babylon’s Fall Is Looking Great After Over a Year of No Updates

That’s great, but Platinum Games is forgetting about another game entirely. It’s been roughly two years now since gamers got the first Bayonetta 3 trailer.

The Bayonetta 3 trailer made an appearance at The Game Awards 2017. That was months before Babylon’s Fall’s announcement, but nothing has been seen of it since.

The only noteworthy news gamers have gotten about Bayonetta 3 since 2017 is that it won’t come out this year . Fans were previously expecting a 2019 release, but Nintendo has switched this to TBA.

This Trailer Is Still the Only Bayonetta 3 Footage After Two Years

As if this wasn’t bad enough, Platinum Games couldn’t help but pour salt in the wounds of fans patiently waiting for Bayonetta 3. It not only announced Astral Chain earlier this year but also released it in August .

What’s the deal here Platinum Games? You can unveil and release a title in the same year, but can’t even give fans an update on a game teased two years ago?

I’m not unhappy about Platinum Games making more games. Astral Chain is great, and Babylon’s Fall looks to be shaping up wonderfully. I’m just asking for Bayonetta 3’s developer not to ghost us for two years while it shows off and releases other projects.

Maybe we’ll be lucky and a Bayonetta 3 update will drop during The Game Awards this year. It was where the game was first announced, so there’s hope for that at least.
